    Description

    Hey, Kyle here. I consider myself fairly new to working out. First a little about myself. I have short bowel syndrome, meaning that at least half of my small bowel has been removed, making it difficult to absorb nutrients, fat, and calories, thus making it very difficult to gain weight. I had 1/2 my small Bowel, as well as my entire large bowel removed shortly after birth. So basically, I don't know what life is like with them. For as long as I remember I have always ate what I wanted, without any complications. I met my husband when I was 19 years old (I am 26 now), and I was extremely skinny and weighed about 120 pounds. I was sick and tired of being bone thin, so I tried to do so something about it. I joined goodlife, and went a couple days a week without almost no results. I think I gained a little muscle, but my weight stayed at 140. After doing a lot of research,I started using weight gainer protein powder, therefore adding about 1500 additional calories every day. The weight started to go on really quickly. I gained about 10 pounds in two weeks, and then another over a couple of months....and then nothing more for a couple of years. During this time I was finishing school, and we were in the process of moving, so I wasn't as dedicated. Since April of this year, I started going to the gym more often, and am making an effort to take my protein shake (1 large blender full) every night. I have put on almost 20 pounds in the two months. As of right now, I am on day 9 of a severe cold (I tend to have little to no appetite when I am sick). As a result I lost almost a pound a day...and there is no sign of my cold dissipating any time soon. So this os my life. I hope to offer support to others with others who have the same or similar condition as myself.
