I'm 6'1, 185#, recently (and proudly) reached the landmark 50. I am very much into health and fitness and have a great respect for others who do also. Working out is an important part of my life but it does not consume it. I was country raised. I love thunderstorms. I love the sound and smell of rain. I value my friendships and my family more than anything. I love gay life but not the gay scene. I am not usually into bars. I spend way too much time wondering why we can't all just get along and support each other...think about it. I am a Gemini. I am 95% vegetarian (non-preaching), I work in health care. I'm not necessarily religious but I believe in the power of prayer. I have and value a great sense of humor. My favorite color is blue. I love to laugh and love even more to make others laugh. The absolute best experience with friends is totally uncontrollable laughter. I think a child's uncontrollable laughter is the most uplifting experience there is. I'm not very good at taking compliments. I wear my heart on my sleeve but have learned to guard it closely. I think sex is hot but cuddling after is hotter. I am more the big spoon. I believe strongly in monogamy. I love naps. I always wanted a motorcycle until I got hit by a car on one. I am sometimes pee shy and don't know why that is. I am a hopeless romantic. I love to hold and to be held. Armpits on a hot guy excite me. I am a quiet observer. I love to cook. My heart beats so hard prior to a first date that I think my shirt moves. I value time with my friends and my family as well as quiet time in away from the world. I find my peace at home, with friends, in my kitchen, at the gym, working in my gardens, and anywhere out in nature. I was raised to be polite, honest and respectful, I ask for the same in return. An attitude, ignorance, a sense of entitlement, and a lack of awareness of others are all huge turn offs.
The one quote in life that keeps me grounded, humbled, centered, and above all, thankful on a daily basis: "THERE, BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD, GO I".
