I’m an easy going, good natured person who enjoys seeing new sights and learning new things. I’m rebuilding my body after going through nature’s most recent attempt to off me. I enjoy movies, reading, laughter, sunshine, cooking, and travel… not necessarily in that order. I enjoy swimming and want to start hiking and doing other outdoor activities.

Before September 2009 I swam a mile or two each day and walked a couple miles as well. September 7, 2010, I was put in the hospital for cancer. The doc said that I was a couple of days away from dead.

December, 2010, I went into remission and now have the task of rebuilding my life. I can barely walk and tire quickly. I miss being able to walk in the park. I miss the pool, driving a car, my carefree life.

January 2011, I can walk again on my own. Now that the final IV line has been removed I can return to the pool. My right hand goes numb after about 4 laps, though. It's a neat sensation, but it's not a lot of fun when you can't zip your pants. It feels so good to be able to drive again.

February 2011. I started back to work, for better or worse. My feet still tingle. If I don't wiggle my toes they go numb. It's called necrop~something. Doc says to "use 'em or lose 'em." I still tire pretty fast, but I can feel my strength slowly returning. I still haven't been able to maintain any sort of work out routine, but need one to continue to rebuild.

December 2014. As good as it gets. I have returned to swimming and do so for around a mile a day. I would like to find a swimming and/or walking buddy. I have also returned to school at UALR. I finished my Associate Degree and am now working on the Bachelor Degree.
