Musician, music therapist, composer and academic. I'm just completing a phd in the health benefits of music in Dementia care. I totally love what I do, and I left a big-shot legal career in the City to do it. It's nice to have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I could spend all day listening to Keith Jarrett play Handel, because he makes time stop, and kinda breaks your heart. Duke Ellington's melancholia does almost the same thing, and it's easier to sing along to. I am a secret counter tenor - except for occasional outings in London concerts. Handel and Ben Britten knew what they were doing. I'm also a sucker for Americana, particularly Ella, Thelonious, John Adams and Sondheim.

Concerts, coffee, wine and walks are high on my list. My partner is a marvellous dude who has kept me sane and crazy for 18 years. We lived in a cowshed in the woods for 9 of those, keeping warm by chopping and then burning logs (plus other more fun ways). Once you've seen 9 winters pass you appreciate a one bedroom apartment in the centre of town. I am not sexy. I might make you laugh. I will definitely make you sing.

I have really loved meeting some fine, wise, funny, fascinating guys on here. More of the same for friendship and chats is always a blessing.
