ABOUT ME

I have a BA in government (focused on international affairs) with a minor in Japanese.

I'm a linguist and a martial artist (orange sash in kung fu, corda crua in capoeira)...three or four days of kung fu and at least two days of capoeira keep me busy, but I still make sure to get out and have some fun. I don't really have a religion, but do follow Stoic philosophy as it closely agrees with my own experiences.
I love to read anything I can get my hands on and prefer to read things in the original language if possible (like The Art of War, The Tao Te Ching, The Encheridion). Anyone who knows who Epictetus is gets bonus points.

For several years, I had restricted calorie intake and worked out every day (or at least 6 days a week). It proved to be a good stress reliever and really did help me a lot. Sadly, working out fell by the wayside in 2006 when I transferred to a different university and "didn't have time for it." I realize now that I could've made time, but we can't change the past.
For about a year and a half after I graduated, I still didn't exercise and that was made worse by my sedentary job in an office.
Finally, spurred on by a breakup with my then boyfriend of three years, I decided it was the time to change and turn a negative into an opportunity. I started taking Kung Fu classes and joined a gym to work out with my friends. I gave up meat and worked my way down to being a pescatarian. I added a short yoga class to my lunch schedule and took up Capoeira shortly thereafter. Between the exercise and healthier eating, I found myself simply feeling better and looking healthier as well.
I've also added on a non-regular basis things like pole dance and running.
Again, due to some factors, I lapsed with my gym trips for about two months, but did keep up with my martial arts and most of the healthy eating. I just started going to the gym again and realize how much better it is for me and plan to make time for it despite what happens.
The most recent additions to my regimen have been the 100 pushups and 200 sit ups programs.

Aside from the physical fitness aspect outlined above, I've been working on a healthier outlook in general. I'm making sure that I take things in stride and take care of myself first. I'll admit that it has been quite a trip, but it has only just started.

GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET

I'll admit that I'm picky and that I'm fairly blunt, too. I swear I'm not a dick; I just know what I want. You should, too.:
1) I want someone smart and preferably either in college or a college graduate.
2) I want non-smoker. This is non-negotiable.
3) Anyone I'm with can't do drugs (yes, this includes weed). Also non-negotiable.
4) I want someone who knows what they want in life.
5) I want someone who understands that I do not want a fucking open relationship.
6) I want someone who won't give a shit that I'm a vegetarian (well, pescaterian, I eat fish).
7) I want someone who doesn't live in the gym (I know that this site is dedicated to fitness, but seriously guys, have a life outside the fucking gym).
8) I want a man who has his shit together, not a boy.
9) I don't want someone who is stuck on himself. Confidence is sexy, vanity is not.
10) I'm a top. I don't bottom. If you have a problem with it, don't bother.
11) Not looking for a hookup. I'm actually looking for something long-term. I don't do fuck buddies, either. That's just how I roll.
