ABOUT ME

August 13, I decided to take up a new sport, so I bought myself an early birthday present - a Mountain Bike. I have a goal set and a two year time period to get ready to make one glorious mountain run. In July of next year I will announce my challenge to any and all RJ mountain bikers to join me.

I am a very Type "A" person. I drive myself to always do better than the last time. "Higher, Faster, Stronger" is my motto. I just let the IOC use it.

I truly believe that age is just a number linked to some date on my birth certificate, which I haven't looked at in years. I am at least ten years younger than I was ten years ago.

Here is my Exercise Schedule:

Daily:
Walk - 1 hour
Crunches
Ab Vacuum (Three sets three times per day)

Aerobic:
HIIT (Stationary Bike) - "A" Days - 30 Minutes
Steady State Stationary Bike - "B" Days - 25 Minutes

Weight Work: Four days per week:

"A" Days: Monday/Thursday:
(Four sets of 19 reps each)
Incline Press
Bench Press
Decline Press
Lat Pulls (Wide Grip)
Lat Pulls (Narrow Grip)
French Curls
Tricep Curls (Machine)
Front Delts
Lateral Delts
Dorsal Delts

"B" Days: Tuesday/Friday
(Four sets of 19 reps each)
Quad Machine
Leg Press
Calf Lifts
Forward Forearm Curls
Reverse Forearm Curls

GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET

Immediate need is to find a good work-out buddy and spotter. Some exercises you just don't want to do without someone to get the olympic bar off your throat when an arm gives out. Age is not a real consideration, just someone who is willing to be patient with an out-of-shape partner who is driven like hell to improve.

Longer term, I am looking for a understanding and compatible friend, where the friendship could grow into something more serious. Obviously you kids under 55 need not apply. Prefer someone who loves gyms and the smell of good male sweat.

As for my Hot List, anyone who is there is someone with whom I would like to spend an evening in front of a blazing fire, sipping a fine old Port and talking about Life and fitness. To me, a good mind trumps a pretty face any day.
