Guys I'm Looking To Meet
I like yoga.
Just moved to the city and up for making some new friends. I'll take interesting over pretty, but if you're both I don't mind.
Love to meet up for tennis or coffee, but if we do, let's make a splash, I can have boring conversations on email but in person better have some life. I am interested in everything from urban design, adventure travel, volunteering, literature, to talking about where I should be going to dinner.
I do not need to talk about working out unless it is yoga; the bench press is something I do and move on, not philosophize about.
Entrepreneur, former arts commissioner, lived in Africa and Italy, and really would rather at this point be learning about you, so spill it.
My Passions: www.codra.org (building change in Africa, one deep bore well at a time), http://surfforlife.org/ (surfers who care about kids...and costa rica), the others are fun stories best saved for in person but indie music, artists, usa poverty issues, and quite a few other things which usually get me into trouble.
I am not quite as rigid as the familiar quote by Kerouac, "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes ."
Some mornings I do have lazy Sundays, and say pretty common place things all the time. But I certainly have a better time when I meet people with a little passion, about anything, just some spark.
I take half days on Wednesday so I can surf without a crowd, morning until lunch. I am always up for meeting people at the beach on Saturday too.
And remember even Shakespeare suggests you work harder with age, "The sixth age shifts/Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon/With spectacles on nose and pouch on side"

Music tastes: Linkin Park, Narvana, are not on this place list but should be, but figured you might not be able to read anything if the music has too much edge.
