I'm an attractive, masculine, and sincere 35 year old British guy. I work as a Chief Purser on a luxury passenger yacht which sails throughout Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean Isles. Currently I am in Miami for two months until mid-December working at our HO, but usually I am at sea and sailing throughout the Greek Isles (Piraeus, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Mylos, Patmos, Navplion, Itea, Corfu, Katakolon) and the Turkish Coast (Istanbul, Kusadasi, Bodrum, and Fethiye)

When I am not working on the ship I like to travel extensively on my own. I'm looking forward to travelling throughout the Middle East over the next few years. Wouldn't mind meeting a few friends along the way to point me in the right direction.

A little bit about who I am: I was born in a town in England called Birkenhead, across the Mersey river from Liverpool. Birkenhead's claim to fame is that it had the first street tramway in Europe and Birkenhead Park, the first publicly funded park in the world, was the inspiration for the design of Central Park in New York City. Due to the poor living conditions, low employment, and high crime rate my parents sent me and my brothers to boarding school in Canada. My, shall we say, 'transatlantic' youth has given me the most peculiar accent you have ever heard.

I am as mature and sophisticated as I am completely insane and really just a kid-at-heart (I still read comics and blow bubbles with my chewing gum). I am completely spontaneous and have a cracking sense of humour - If I couldn't laugh at least once a day my life would not be worth living. I tend to measure a person's worth in their ability to laugh at themselves. If you can laugh with me and make me laugh then we will get along just fine. C'mon, life is actually very funny!

Since I work at sea for most of the year I don't have much time for a relationship, (nor am I looking for one - it would have to be the most amazing man to pull me from my life at sea. Is there any man alive who can compete with Poseidon?), but I love meeting guys from around the world, especially, but not limited to, men who are bald/cropped, ruggedly handsome and around my own age.

A WORD ABOUT LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS - I seem to be getting a lot of e-mails from guys who express their pity in that I am unable to share my life experiences with the one I love and that they find it the greatest of all tragedies. One Realjock member even went so far to say that all I would have when I am old and alone is the memories of my travels. Part of me would just like to gently ignore the ignorant, but the other side compels me to express my side of the story. I know a lot of people on this great planet of ours feel their self-worth is dependent on the love and acceptance of another. Others are searching endlessly for a partner, lover, soul mate - forever in endless gloom in not finding THE ONE. Call me selfish, but I will accept each day of my life as it comes, never craving or wanting for anything. I will enjoy the ups and downs as a blessing and a learning experience. I know I am loved as I love others in my life. I am not looking for a relationship because that is not where I am at in my life. Should that time appear I will accept it as any other chapter. I'm getting to know myself more and more each day and am fulfilled with the experiences I have encountered on my own. I do not feel a void - on the contrary, I feel the unbearable lightness of being.

Devoted, compassionate, romantic and endearing are not words I would especially use in a description of myself (okay, maybe one or two at a push), and so I don't tend to look for these traits in other men. The most important things I look for in a guy is a cracking sense of humour, the ability to do things totally off-the-wall and spontaneous - partial to a bit of deranged lunacy, a dark/wicked side to their personality, a strong sense of masculinity, but completely in touch with their own homosexual persuasions and tendancies (whatever they may be). I prefer men around my own age - the ruggedly handsome types and bald/cropped guys makes my spit slather round my chops (it can prove to be quite embarrrassing).
