A few of you know that Ed & I are celebrating our 40th anniversary later this year. To commemorate it, we were looking for a special cruise to go on. We found it and have just returned. It was such a special, once-in-a-lifetime event, that I thought I would share a few pictures with you.

First of all, we decided to spend a little money and go into the Queen's Grill on Cunard's Queen Victoria. (Cunard, as stuffy as it is, is our favorite cruise line, and the Queen's Grill is their first class accommodation.) A special offer came along that allowed us to book a Queen's Grill Suite, for 1/3 the normal price, with the promise of an automatic upgrade, if available. We booked...and three weeks later, we were advised of our upgrade...to the best suite on the ship! We felt as though we had won the lottery!

We had planned to spend several days in London, before and after the cruise, and, when we arrived there was a screw-up in our reservations, so, to assuage our problem, the hotel upgraded us to the best suite in the hotel! While in London, we saw "Billy Elliot", "Wicked" and Queen's "We will Rock You"! We had a spectacular time there!

The pictures I've added to my profile pics show the suite on the ship and some of the scenery we enjoyed in the fjords of Norway. The cruise itself was a fantasy come to life. The accommodations, the food, the booze, the casino, the spa, and last, but certainly not least, the new friends we made during our voyage, all were some of the best we've ever experienced.

I'm an avid golfer who has had a gay/lesbian golf group in Fort Lauderdale for ten years. We play every Wednesday and every Sunday year-around. In the summer it may be as small a group as four, but in the season we tumesce (I'm not sure that's a word, but I had fun using it) to almost fifty. We welcome golfing visitors to join us. I'm considered to be pretty intelligent and a smart ass with a stinging sense of humor. I'm kinda active in the gay charitable/social services community. A native Floridian, I've been in Fort Lauderdale longer than most of you are old. I'd be pleased to meet any others in South Florida...not to hook up, but to know...particularly if you play golf or want to learn to play golf.

I joined the site looking for Golfers in South Florida, either residents or visitors. I have finally found that wants to play...golf, that is...but I've really gotten hooked on the forums with the number of serious, intelligent guys that participate and that can be fun at the same time. I join in a little too frequently, but I really enjoy reading the posts.
