Spent tehe summer in the States. I'm back in the Emirates now. I don't spend much time online, so chances are we'll get to know each other through PMs/mail, rather than chatting. Otherwise, I'm always up for a glass of wine :)

First and foremost: my family, friends, and coworkers know I'm queer. I am quite comfortable being out.

I am willing to accept that there are varying degrees of outness. Fine. I don't mind being friends with guys who are (still) in the closet; however, I have no intentions of allowing a romance to develop with them. More importantly, though, I have noticed that there are quite a number of guys here who are married – to women! If you're a gay guy married to another guy, groovy. Hit me up, we can hit the gym. However, if you're gay and married to a woman, don't waste my time. I have known too many gay guys married to women: they invariably lead to messy divorces, alcoholism, drug problems, and suicide attempts. They are self-destructive, and hurt the people around them. If you are gay and married to a woman, please find someone else's profile.

Otherwise, I am generally open to friendship with just about anyone. I am the marryin' type, though, and would like to eventually find myself a strong, emotionally independent man who is happy with himself. Again, I have had boyfriends come into my life wanting a daddy. I want an equal - someone who can be a mature adult in a relationship, and not crave some kind of codependency.

(I know, it's sad that I'd have to be this precise; I have a few graduate-level psych courses under my belt, as well as a few exes who have committed or attempted suicide.)
