I like being physically active and enjoy being outside. Even though I live in LA, I'm not a big city person. A smaller town is more my speed. I enjoy getting out of LA for day hikes just north in some of the canyons.

I enjoy tea houses and coffee cafes - love getting a good cup and then hanging out, reading, people watching, whatever. The clubbing/bar scene not so much my speed anymore. Making dinner for two at home and catching a movie or going to a play is fun or just staying in and being with each other can be mighty fine.

Am really lucky to be able to train a lot right now. My goals are ambitious but achievable with some perseverance. I've even given up beer for now to speed me on my way, no small feat for a guy who used to brew his own. It's worth it though.

Some of my adventures have been Oktoberfest in Munich, beach camping in Greece, medaling at the World Rowing Championships, sneaking away from our Intourist guide in Leningrad (in the days of the USSR), bike touring through Sweden, winter ski camping in Finland, competing in biathlon and nordic ski races, dragon boat racing in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Australia...

I want to meet other guys who are easy going, responsible, curious, and like being active. Find I connect well with guys a little younger than myself who are not so hirsute.

So, if you are interested in getting out and about let's meet up. Prefer guys who don't smoke and don't need a drink to have a good time but can enjoy an occasional beer or glass of wine.
