A rainbow-colored silk skating costume, the discus that won an out and proud athlete an Olympic medal, and a "locker room" area where sports and sex overlap are just some of the elements that make up the fascinating exhibit "Sporting Life: GLBT Athletics and Cultural Change from the 1960s to Today" at Francisco's GLBT Historical Society, where 2,500 visitors have flocked since the show opened in April of 2005. Can't make it to the City by the Bay before the exhibit closes in December of this year? No worries—RealJock is giving all you GLBT sports history buffs a glimpse at the exciting evolution of organized gay athletics.
