MOTD NOVEMBER 1ST, 2017
Thanks to everyone who voted me for MOTD and congratulated me for it.
Professional, HIV NEG, DDF, into varied fitness activities and rigorous diet.
Very Health Conscious. I work very hard at keeping myself fit and lean (7% Body Fat).
I enjoy meeting all the different types of men on this site and the training routines and tips I get here.
Some of you have asked me about my diet and training. It's all about making choices, meaning what is "your" goal for "your" body (routines and diets are body objective and metabolism specific).
The following is not a criticism but observations consistent with the training routine and diet that I chose for myself. Long ago I decided that I would give up mass in favor of a well defined physique, a flat stomach and a small waist. I have buddies at the gym who have large but somewhat undefined pecs, arms and legs and rather large midsections with no particular definition anywhere (sometimes "tight" midsections, but large nevertheless). They spend lots of money in expensive protein shakes (drink a lot of them) and eat highly proteic diets. That's not a healthy option, there's only so much protein from your daily intake that your muscles can use, the unused becomes uric acid that your liver and kidney have to process, and when you overload them, all excess will lodge itself in joints and quite often produce painful kidney stones.
If you look at men on this site, the most "labored" bodies are those of guys that don't look huge but are well proportioned and defined. When I say "labored" I do mean achieved with great effort. It takes way more effort to achieve this type of body.
The typical large muscle that you see in most gyms isn't all muscle, there is fat in them (there can be up to 30%) hence that more "rounded", padded look. Some diets and some short routines work rather effectively for that look, it is actually easier to achieve. That is the choice some people make and that's just fine.
Keeping it leaner and tighter takes a lot more work. To each his own; you need to be happy with your goals and the process you choose to achieve them.
Best to everybody achieving their goals!
