    I had an injury, lost 6 months, then was downsized twice in 18 months. Been training regularly for the last 6 months, new job, new city and new outlook.

    Lost 65lbs in 10 months, spin class 4 days a week, strength training with a PT 3 times a week, swimming once and tryinG got get back on my road bike twice a week. More importantly, down 10 inches off my waist alone, down everywhere but calves, they went up 3".

    Still working on the nutritional aspect, trying to balance everything.

    Signed up with my PT for another year, major change in routine this past week, I now really understand the meaning behind leg day. Had to take a day off spinning to recover :-).


    I just completed my first Super Sprint Tri and I am very proud, can't wait till the next one. Biking was great, swim was okay, have to work on the run.I just installed aerobars on my bike, nervous about getting used to them.

    I have decided to get ready for a 1/2 marathon at the end of October, means i need to double my training for the next three weeks. Here we go.

    I have quit smoking and have enjoyed 5 years of no smoking, i have also lost 100 pounds over the last 5 years, although i enjoy the weekend cigar and nice brandy, that's my cheat.

    I have just started working out with weights and cross training. I have found new muscles i did not know existed, thank goodness for acupuncture. I just purchased a new bike to take my training to new levels. My goals are to complete a full marathon in the next 18 months and then i would like to complete a full tri-athalon in the next 3 years.

    In the last 180 days, I have lost 5" off my thighs, 7" off my waist,7" off my chest, 4" off my neck and 3" of my arms. I have since gained 1" neck, and lost another 1" on my arms the right way. My calves have really toned up but have stayed the same at 18", today i finally lost .5" off of my calves. Starting to see the benefits in my arms, shoulders and back. My legs are really toned! Going to start swimming two nights a week after the holidays.

    I have lost 16 inches in total off my waist in total in 5 years. I want to loose another 6 and i will be very happy. I am at lowest weight in over 20 years and proud of it. From being a typical couch potato, who could smoke a pack of cigs, down 2 litres of coke and eat a pizza. While i still eat the occasional slice, i have about a can of coke a month. I have stopped all the chemical infused diet, low cal food substitutes. My trainer, says the diet stuff is worst for you, eat like a caveman, natural.

    someone to keep me motivated, someone to to enjoy long jogs or extreme workouts at the gym. Someone that we can both help to the next challenge.

    I want to start swimming, just not sure of where to fit it in. I have to start biking again to get ready for the spring. Would appreciate advice on how people break up their routines.
