ABOUT ME

A middle age man who takes care of himself and respects others who do the same.
I have always been physically active - grew up on a farm. Tried to stay in shape in my 20s and early 30s because of military, etc.
Started seriously weightlifting around the age of 37.

Here is a qoute taken from a scene in a movie by Mart Crowley "The Boys in the Band" made in the early 70s. It is a very powerful scene that in many ways mirrored the reality check i needed to come out of the closet.

"You’re a sad and pathetic man.
You’re a homosexual and you don’t want to be.
But there is nothing you can do to change it.
Not all your prayers to your God.
Not all the analysis you can buy and all the years you got left to live.
You may one day very well get to know a heterosexual life, if you want it desperately enough, if you pursue it with the fervor with which you annihilate.
But you will always be a homosexual as well.
Always,..................... always until the day you die".

I would like to share another quote from a friend that mirrors my coming out experience - hope it is beneficial. "I always felt that the transition from accepting one's homosexualtiy meant that I would have this huge coming out party and my life would somehow change dramatically. My transition, so to speak, was much more insideous. It wreaks of internal acceptance and recognition that I really do not need to change. I love myself just the way I am, I don't have to impress anyone. The greatest "transition" I have faced is the one within. No man or woman can make me happy with myself, only I can".

GUYS I'M LOOKING TO MEET

Not here to hook-up. No expectations - just enjoy the occassional intelligent chat with men who take working out seriously or Dads who are raising their children.
No face pics because of my job - not closeted but ..............just prefer not to post. Besides not here for a BF or hooking up. Does one really need a face pic to chat with an on-line friend?
