ABOUT ME
Love being outside, hiking, jogging, kayaking, swimming, and camping trips to Yosemite, Desolation Wilderness, and Yuba state parks. . Subscribe to Winnie the pooh way of life. I'm equally cerebral in my adventures. Always up for trading platonic sport massages (shiatsu, cupping, deep tissue or Swedish)
Into SLOW food and nutrition. Hobbies: permaculture, home brew hard cider, making sauerkraut and kimchi, Into Paleo and fat-burning diet... virgin coconut oil is amazing... it reduces bad cholesterol and increase muscle mass... very strange this medium chain triglyceride... but most Asian cuisine know this for hundred of years. "....There are three groups of saturated fatty acids: short chain, medium chain and long chain. Unless you consume them in mass quantities, the short and medium chain saturated fatty acids don't turn into body fat, but are instead used immediately by the body for energy. So fats that contain more short to medium chain fatty acids, such as those found in butter fat and tropical oils like coconut oil, have fewer calories than the same amount of fats with longer chain fatty acids."
If you are into nutrition research, here is an interesting table that lists hundreds of tables for 'Food/supplement to fitness' and linked to published papers on Pubmed/Medline. Some surprising association between food words and fitness, i.e. mustard for muscle building, horseradish for testosterone, etc.
