    I've lived in Oregon since 1981, moved from San Diego right out of high school. My partner and I have been together for 19 years (8/1/2013) and we enjoy traveling, especially Mexico and Spain and taking long road trips here in the west.

    I'm a huge ENTJ and sometimes my personal motto of "go big or stay home" gets me into trouble, but hey that's what life is all about!

    I love to travel, anywhere, anytime.

    I started seriously working out in late 2006 after my weight ballooned up to 265, I had a very sedentary office job for about 15 years after having very physical jobs before that, it's amazing how the weight just creeps up on you. I've dropped 55 pounds so far, work out with a trainer twice a week and on my own the other three days.

    The best thing I've done for myself is my diet, with few exceptions I've cut out all high fructose corn syrup, it's amazing all the things it's in, eat LOCAL fresh produce, which is easy living in the Willamette Valley, more wild fish, all natural beef and chicken, and organic everything when possible. I spend a lot of time reading labels, and if it has more than a couple of ingredients it's probably going to be bad!

    I'm sure I'm doing a few things wrong, but I've never felt better.

    October 1, 2009 update
    Just finished 4 X 4 week cycles focusing on my 1 rep max on bench press, squat, deadlift and military press, tested the results this week and I'm pretty happy.

    Squat - 315 pounds
    Bench press - 215 pounds
    Military press - 130 pounds (room for improvement)
    Deadlift 375 pounds

    Update from June 2013, still training hard, with a trainer 3X a week, solo 2X a week. Putting on muscle mass which is good, but it keeps my overall weight up. Between 212-215 for the last 5 month's.
