Don't adjust your monitor - I am a scrawny white boy. Trying to gain some more weight...
Professionally I belong to a temp/admin service for the greater Boston area. Hopefully we find a permanent gig for me there. Fingers crossed!
Let's be honest- my workouts are based around the P90X program. Gym membership does not make sense to me.
At night I tend to cook dinner, read, and jump around to music.
That's a great segue into tunes. Here are mine: The Clash, The Smiths, Sonic Youth, Patti Smith, Husker Du, The Replacements, The Mountain Goats, Melvins, Razors in the Night, Sleater-Kinney, Gogol Bordello, X, The Raveonettes, Belle and Sebastian, tons more...
Honorable mention goes to Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox. They rework hit songs from the 80s - 00s into jazz, ragtime, and big band numbers. I've learned that I don't hate pop music but rather pop music *production*. PMJ does those songs justice.
Please note: you don't need to know these bands are to get or keep my interest.
Weekends you'll find me wandering the city, watching midnight movies, seeing local bands, drinking a few beers with friends, listening to podcasts, obtaining more books and music, etc.
Not really into the gay scene. If I'm at the gay bars/clubs, then I'm either...
a) trying to get laid.
b) there with a friend.
c) trying to get that friend laid.
Sometimes I wear glasses. And sometimes not.
I belong to a discussion group. We meet once a month to debate/explore the ideas behind a variety of works. Plato's Allegory of the Cave, Shelley's Frankenstein, Orwell's 1984, Stephenson's Anathem... things like that.
On the topic of romance/relationship/sex/what have you:
Turn Ons: Goofy sense of humor, laid back demeanor, larger build guys, nice smile, and a deep, hearty laugh is always good to hear.
Turn Offs: Desperation. Delusion. (No offense) "Feminine" behavior. Melodramatic demeanor.
Enough about me...
