I teach my clients: Fluid Exchange of any sort, any location is Risky.

Although over simplified, it's a simple concept to teach and comprehend.

Keep your fluids off/out of my body.

there comes a point where safe sex becomes 'why bother'? define fluid? keep your saliva out of my mouth? so much for kissing. giving and getting head through a condom is pretty pointless. i've done some research and precum has about the same viral load as kissing meaning you're as likely to get hiv from giving or getting a bj as you are from deep kissing. obviously letting your partner nut in your mouth is different, but it's still no where near as dangerous as taking it in the butt raw.

getting back to this thread. my first real bf and i used to frot, rub our dicks together while we made out. lots of times one of us would nut, obviously all over the other's boner. if it was me, i'd jerk him off using my jizz for lube and he'd do likewise. yeah, it was really hot.

it's possible that if an infected guy cums on your johnson and the jacks you he could introduce virus through some small tear, but even that's kind of a long-shot.

but none of this is an issue if you know who you're playing with. even if it's casual i have to have a pretty good idea a guy's healthy if anything's gonna happen.

jos367 saidHIV is deactivated readily when exposed to air. Although it comes with mild risk, no reported HIV infections have occured due to exposure to spilled bodily fluids.

    see http://www.avert.org/hiv-aids-transmission.htm
and look under the "Can HIV be transmitted outside of the body" tab.

What about the people with HIV who have NO IDEA who they contracted it? There are lots of those around.

Their HIV will still die outside of their body when their semen hits the air. It's funny how oxygen, the very thing that gives us life kills diseases so easily.

Thats why they say Cancer cannot survive in a well oxygenated body

true, that's why is recommended when doing oral to stop and get a break/breath so the HIV virus would get killed by oxygen.

Why risk it? Just from reading the post it sounds unsafe. I'll pass on that act.

The OP did not mention if this involved using cum as lube for jerking off or for anal sex. Seems as though some forum contributors took it and ran with it before finding out.

Mr. OP you need to clarify.

beaujangleif a guy uses his hookup partner's semen as lube on his own cock, is this considered as unsafe sex?

Does it matter? You are using some hookup's cum as lube and the question is whether it's safe or not. Simple question with a simple answer.

I wasn't addressing the safety aspect as much as taking note of how many people defaulted to assuming he was referring to lubing for anal sex.

In of itself sex is risky-some acts more than others. Lets all take a vow of abstinence.icon_lol.gif

I've used a serial sex buddies cum as lube to jack off.

I was hot, but I later thought about the possibility of having the cum get into cuts I had on my hands at the time. Which in the case that day would have been more likely than having an open spot on my cock.

I asked the disease control expert at the Healthy Living Project and he said he would recommend wearing a side sealing bandage with anti-viral medication on them if I have open sores on my hands during sex.

I definitely would recommend against using anyone's spunk as a lube for anal sex.

Sorry for my lack of clarification. I was referring solely to using the semen for jerking off, not anal sex.

Actually HIV is a very weak virus that dies when exposed to air pretty quickly. If you didn't rub it into the hole of your cock and didnt have any open sores or breaks in the skin I'm pretty sure it would be fine... although I don't know why you would want to do that.

Also, a person who has been undetectable for 6 months and remains taking meds, being healthy etc does not pose a risk of transmission via sex.

Source- dating an HIV positive guy, and learning pretty much all about it... wouldn't do it again though, it's a lot of stress.

if its such a weak virus that dies fast why is it transmitted to everyone.

my answer is its very unsafe and an idiotic move. hell saliva is a way better choice

This is true HIV will die to air exposure but Gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), and cytomegalovirus (CMV) can all be transmitted through semen.

Although I am not sure if they also die when exposed to oxygen

unless the 2 guys are in a comitted relationship in which they have stopped using condoms....but i dunno for a "hookup"... icon_eek.gif

    aaaargh!

Far too many people have become HIV poz from their partner in a so-called "committed, monogamous relationship."

I am so weary of having to repeat this message over and over and over - as I do when I address students.Anyone repeating that outright LIE about it being OK to dispense with condoms because they are in a "committed monogamous" relationship will unfortunately get a hrsh lesson in reality sooner or later.

    Learn it!

    Keep your rubbers on!!!

    For fuck's sake!!

Yes, this is very unsafe. HIV can't survive very long outside of the human body but if you use your buddy's recent semen, there's a risk. Contrary to what others have posted on here, the virus is not denatured the second it is exposed to air. It doesn't take long, but it isn't immediate. If your partner was positive, and any semen entered the urethral opening, then your risk just greatly increased. People have to think logically about these things. HIV can enter the body through openings (like the urethra) and any cuts/ sores. The tip of your penis has an opening, so therefore, of course you could contract the virus from doing this, if your partner had the virus. Especially through more permeable membranes like what can be found in the anus and penis. I would highly recommend you stop doing this. How about simply using saliva?!
