Forget whether you are a donkey or elephant for once, I think this is one of the more inventive ads I have seen. The fact that it channels"Bed Intruder" song in the end is hilarious. Gotta give Team O'Donell thumbs up for creativity!

She hired Republican campaign ad man, Fred Davis to do the ad. He is most famous for this ad:

He is not very subtle, is he?

It's terrible that we've come to the point in politics where a jingo stays in your head more than the real policy messages behind the would-be politician. TIME has an article on Fred Davis:
...he single-handedly (from what I remember) rescued Ben Quayle's campaign with his ad. They even used Hawaii's serenity against itself to make their ad:,8599,2024069,00.html"Everybody starts with message," Davis explains. "I don't. I start with what will stand out and be remembered."
It's an economic attack on Neil Abercrombie, the Democratic candidate for Hawaii's governorship, that would be conventional if not for all the soothing music and the shot of a sunset and rolling Hawaiian surf Davis has added. The effect is jarring, like getting a Swedish massage while someone butchers a cow nearby. "People in Hawaii don't like nasty, negative politics," Davis explains. "They like calm, peaceful and reasonable analysis. So we sent a team over there, and they shot for three or four days every sunrise, every sunset and every wave they could find."

First thing I thought of when I saw the title:

/My lawn could do with two less shoes. Yours.
