How dare you post this to make me feel worse than I already do. All of these images were so depressing. Nothing about "it gets better."
Where was the warning? I come to RJ to feel better about myself not worse.
'It gets better' is just an ideal it's not a reality for all homosexual people.
This sort of thing is good to show people instead of thinking that it's something ok to tolerate. A lot of people don't understand what DADT is really about and how invasive and destructive it can be for homosexuals.
A good comparison would be the importance the Armed Forces puts on families and loved ones being able to stay in contact with one another and see each other either in person or in pictures for example, how important that is for morale - except for gay soldiers of course, they don't need that kind of morale boost apparently because any kind of contact like that unless it's done in secrete or in code would be grounds for getting kicked out, also any known sexual contact or even marriage - which is also expressly forbidden under the Armed Forces anti-gay policies.
I think gay people who serve in the Armed Forces are sacrificing a lot more of themselves in order to serve than their straight counterparts. They certainly are having to give up more while having less means for coping.
