dogs in my bf's bed...but not ME! grrrrrrrrr

  my bf's house is still being renovated. it's full of air leaks, gaps in the floors, leaking windows.....you get the idea.
  
  the barely adequate heating system is overwhelmed.
  
  in order to stay warm, my bf is allowing his 2 dogs in the bed with him.
  
  these are dogs that root around in the back yard, spend time in the mud under the house, long haired dogs that shed big time.
  
  call me picky and anal-retenative...but i don't feel comfortable sleeping on the same sheets that the animials occupied.
  
  i laid down the law and told him that if he wants sex from me we are doing it in MY bed.
  
  he's not happy about this.

  With eleven sled dogs and one short hair running around my house, dogs in the bed are inevitable. The vizsla insists on being under the covers too. Most of the huskies stay off the bed if I'm in it, but not always.
  
  What do I do? I change the sheets before bed (or when I get up in the AM) and kick the dogs out of the room when I want to have some fun.
  
  Don't be so up tight, just roll with it...

  I did that with my ex but the dogs were not outdoor dogs. ill never do it again. to me its gross to have animals sleeping in the same bed.

  One of my dogs will sometimes come up on the bed and sleep in the middle of the night but he always stays at the foot end on top of the covers. Others I've owned same thing, they don't actually sleep on the sheets though sometimes I've caught them napping on the sheets of an unmade bed when they think they're not gonna be caught LOL
  Same with the good couch in the livingroom they're not supposed to be up on. They would never do it while I'm in the house.. but I'll come home sometimes and find furry "evidence" that they were.
  And then there's the coming home and finding a spotlessly clean large roasting pan sitting in the middle of the livingroom carpet when I'm absolutely positive the last time I saw it was on top of the stove, pushed right to the back panel with some leftover gravy in it.

  I love my Dogs and they sleep on my Bed all the time. My Bedroom has a direct access to the backyard, so the Dogs come and go as they please. So far there has been no big problem.
  
  The Dogs have a special sheet over the bed so they wont make anything dirty and sleeping with me is out of the question anyway. For a normal long haired Dog it gets to warm after a bit of time and they leave.

  My cat usually jumps on my bed in the middle of the night... when my friend was sleeping over it did so and it was fine, but when we wanted some morning action, I kicked her out of the room

  Occasionally, Godiva (my chocolate lab) tries to sleep between my boyfriend and I. She likes being the center of attention. However, she's a dog and we move her to the end of the bed. Suck it up and stop being a diva.

  Not that big of a deal. The dogs are clean (as animals go), they have their shots and are probably friendly.
  
  The worst thing you'll have to deal with is the shedding but that's easy to over come. Simple get a blanket and cover the the outer part of the bed that the dogs can lay on.
  
  Other then that I wouldn't be so quick to throw an ultimatum like that out because I'm willing to bet those dogs were there before you and might be there after you. They are man's best friend.

  If you're not comfortable with that mess, then I can't imagine the sex would be very satisfying anyway. You wouldn't be into it knowing that you're rolling around in filth.
  
  You don't have to be a "sissy" to appreciate basic cleanliness. Dogs are fantastic companions, but your bed is your bed. Who knows what hitches a ride onto the dog when they return inside?

  Somebody has to be the adult, the dog will be content sleeping next to the bed or even in the same room. I've had all kinds of dogs and love them dearly, but they don't have to sleep in bed with you. If the guy feels his dogs are more important than his partner, than there's a problem there.

  You're old enough to remember a band called Three Dog Night. I can't remember a song of theirs, but the name sticks. A three dog night is a realy cold night in Australia, because the natives there judge the temperature at night by the number of dogs they have to snuggle with to keep from freezing to death. That's where the band got it's name, and maybe you're one of the dogs your bf is using to keep himself from freezing!
