  Isn't that odd, my beagles always want to show him affection. I guess dogs reflect the personalities of their owners.

  Never had any issues with my dog, a Doberman Pinscher. He doesn't pay much attention to the TV, but I did have a problem with my African Gray parrot. She has many phrases and continually talks, whenever she's not singling along with the radio. Anyway, a while back, as part of her phrases, she said f---ing sh--. I couldn't believe it. I don't talk that way, and I couldn't recall having any movies on recently where she could have picked it up. Then a few days later, Obama came on TV. I won't see his head or listen to his voice, so I immediately reached for the remote and caught myself mumbling f---ing sh---. I immediately realized how she picked it up. Now whenever it happens, I grab the remote quickly but force myself to keep my mouth shut. I think she has picked up enough new phrases so I don't hear it from her much at all.

  I do read what he says in the newspapers, so I am still able to participate in meaningful discussions. I just don't need to see or hear him.
