POSTING PROGRESS PICS - YES - NO - TRUTH ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK WHEN SOMEONE DOES

  I have had two major spans of my life where I went from one body type to a new and improved body type. Once when I was 18, I went from skinny as hell with bony arms, chicken chest but powerful muscular legs, to a pretty amazing proportioned muscular and toned body. The second time I, after heart issues and letting it get the better of me and gaining from 175 to 260+, I busted ass and got to 185, again proportioned, muscular and toned. I had some setbacks in the last couple of years and amnow back to 260 and it's time to bust ass again. This time I am considering possible progress pics, maybe even a vid or two.
  
  My forum topic is...do you think we should post out progress pics here on realjock.com, yes or no. And, what do you REALLY think of guys' pics that do post them ? Not the guys themselves, but the pics. In other words, are you secretly judgemental of how "bad" their first pics are, like "how the fuck did you let yourself get to that", or "yuck", "dude...wtf?". Or, are you either secretly, or possibly outspoken in encouragement or maybe even critiques and tips to help, and actually look forward to seeing the progress ? Also, feel free to add in your response that if you like to see progress pics, what your preference in gear worn is. (Gotta make this a little fun...right?)
  
  Hide your identity when you post, if that's what it takes to be shamefully honest. BUT BE HONEST!!! ;-)

  To me, posting progress pics shows that a person has motivation to reach for - and achieve - a goal.

  Despite the bitching the goes on here , I still believe RealJock to be a supportive place, and posting progress pictures will most likely lead to congratulatory remarks, more so than those of ridicule.
  
  Progress pics are a great way to show others where you came from, and where you are going, in terms of fitness. Nobody was born with muscular legs, or six-pack abs. It takes work, and people will admire the work you put into developing your body.
  
  As for gear... anything that compliments the buttocks gets an A in my book.

  I don't see them often, because I don't look, but I think they are inspirational for a lot of RJers and would get a positive response. You may get some negatives, but some guys are negative aout most everything.

  I think older men on here will understand how getting out of shape happens, but the younger men are will be more inclined to grossed out and judgmental. Still, their time will come.

  I'd prefer to encourage someone rather than shoot them down. And seeing progress is fun and encouraging, especially the compliments. That's probably the personal trainer in me speaking.
