i've always appreciated RealJock due to the apparent lack of fake user profiles, but it appears they are starting to multiply faster and faster.
having so many 'real' guys makes forum reading much more legible; if you're intrigued by what someone says, you can check his profile and get a bit better idea of the guy, get in contact with him and have confidence you know who you're dealing with.
these days you're just as likely to see a pic taken from a porn site being used as someone's profile pic and various different soft porn pics used throughout their profile. i am aware some guys refuse to display their own pics online, for their own personal reasons, and that i have no problems with. i'd rather talk with a guy with NO profile images than someone who claims to be the latest model from Bel Ami or Corbin Fisher.
i'd prefer not to 'Name and Shame' in a forum, but it would be nice to somehow flag those users who are obviously not who they say they are. I realise they aren't hurting anyone and at the end of the day, really, who cares? what makes me sad is when you see some of these guys have fooled others into becoming mutual friends, completely duping them into thinking they are who their stolen-profile-pic makes them out to be.
thoughts?
