richhazel saidI'm not a very big guy, but I'm confident and have a natural tendency to take charge. I actually enjoy the challenge of being with a bigger dude.

Hell, if they want to mold me into a bigger dude, I'm down with that too. I've always wanted my own live-in personal trainer.

You might not be big, but you make us other skinny guys look bad icon_razz.gif

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI am a bigger guy, 215lb at 6ft and I am very attracted to guys around 5'9" and built like a buffed swimmer maybe around 150-165 give or take. I tend not to go for bigger guys. They are harder to throw around in the bed during those tender sweaty grueling whore moments. icon_twisted.gif

    perv... icon_lol.gif

I think it depends on how the guy carries himself whether he is skinny or a muscle dude.

Hmmmmm.......That is not always true in my experience. My ex was 6'5" 245 and I didn't have a problem and those tired moments when it was I still had fun. He wasn't the tallest or heaviest either and I liked tossing them too...... so did they. So, I think more research on your side is needed......just saying.

Of course the thinner smaller guys are great too!! That's why they have flavors of the week in candy stores so you can try different things. icon_cool.gif

I have sex and relationships with many big muscular guys. My ex likes both body types and many people I know who are muscular exclusively prefer slender males. People who log onto RJ are typically looking for more muscular guys.

Wow that sucks. I wish I could get down to 220. I haven't been there in prob 10 years... I'm def not ripped but I consider myself to be a big muscular guy. I can bench 315+ and deadlift over 455. I have some knee problems so my squat is pretty assed out at the moment.

Anyway, I am def more attracted to bigger guys. Cross country runners do nothing for me. However, physical attraction only gets your foot in the door. If you wanna get all the way into the most exclusive club in town icon_wink.gif You gotta have confidence.

We big dudes strut around the gym like our taint don't stink because we can lift heavy weights. When I deadlift 405... As soon as the bar comes back down it makes a sound that can be heard throughout the gym. That's the sound of, "I'm f#cking you tonight." Gay, straight, old, young... Everybody responds to the sound. It's the meathead mating call. Skinny guys don't really have a mating call... Unless you count the beeping of your stop watch when you run your 10k. That beeping though... Not very sexy.

Haha, yeah, these types of threads keep asking about different types of people. Not everyone can go and dead lift 405 pounds. These people obviously have different goals and wants.. But for us runners, we achieve for something else entirely. Not the lift, but the duration and its burn. There's something awesome about the oxygen, endorphins, sprints and long runs. Its sexiness can come in being a sort of chase between two people and the soft sound of breathing, its a game of sorts.
(I lift, but I prefer running and ULTIMATE FRISBEE)

Everyone is different , that bla phrase, and different people want different things in themselves and other people. So relax. I think its appropriate that in dating at least, if you can't get what-you-want, you may want to work to be like what-you-want gets. You could see yourself as being disappointed in them not liking you. You could make a goal of improving yourself. Personally, I just say fuck it and do what-you-want. I certainly don't run because it makes me feel sexy (if that was my goal, I'd just lift). I do it because it makes me happy, its an accomplishment I prefer. That makes me confident.

    (ULTIMAAATE)

Confidence is sexy. Thats the strut CarbGoggles is talking about having. Confidence. So do something that makes you confident. Whether that means you run, lift, read, design, or whatever does not matter. That you have the sexy strut of confidence does matter to the guy you think is sexy.

Karnage saidI think this is a stupid question to begin with.

First of all, there's always going to be someone of every "type" that likes someone of every "type". You can't put stereotypes on groups, because there will be always be someone to break them.

Second, even if the stereotype were generally true, it shouldn't matter. You want a guy who you are attracted to for HE is and who will be attracted to you for who YOU are. I find myself attracted to many types of guys - and it has to do with appearance and personality. If you're worried about finding someone to like you because you can ONLY be attracted to "muscle guys", then you have your own problems.

I respect & thank you for your response.
That being said, don't attack my character. thanks. It is not acceptable.

Wow, I must have been in an exceptionally bitchy mood that day. My apologies!

Muscular men like other muscular men because they may prefer a mirror image of themselves. They can work out together and stay the way they are, or they can be competitive and challenge each other into getting bigger.

Muscular men like men even bigger than themselves.

Muscular men like smaller men because they feel stronger and protective of the smaller guy. Or the bigger guy may enjoy working out with the smaller guy, and focus the attention on getting him bigger.

And some big guys may like the thinner guy just the way he is; opposites sometimes attract. The smaller guy may be into muscle worship and the bigger guy may love having his muscles worshipped. In that case it's a win-win situation.

I've met other muscular guys who like smaller guys. But I think the vast majority has to do with lifestyle differences. If you've conditioned yourself to be destroying yourself in the gym daily and have a very rigid nutrition routine, I think most guys tend to like to seek other guys out at that level especially from a relationship standpoint. That type of living takes some serious devotion and you can't have the distractions of going out all the time and need motivation from others that understand what it takes to meet those goals.
