can only speak for myself. In not hugely muscular, but I get turned on a lot by slimmer guys, esp if theyre younger smooth bottoms. For me it's part of a dad/boy scene, which is a huge turnon to me. Don't get me wrong, I love looking at huge muscle guys too, but there is something exciting about a major contrast between my body and a smaller, slim young guy with a nice and inviting butt.....icon_twisted.gif.

As a tall, lean guy, the ripped, buff types don't give me the time of day. I seem to get most attention from shorter guys with similar builds. Which is fine. I like most body types other than jiggly ones.

    depends on chemistry, for me.

I love fucking muscle boys and athletic twinks - although I'm far from being fitness model size.

But then every once in a while, I like to fuck a thick, hairy muscle ass attached to a near-bodybuilder sized guy. And perhaps a little surprisingly to me at least - a lot of those guys are huge bottoms who'd like nothing more than to have their tree-trunk legs pegged to their barrel chests while my relatively much smaller self crams their hole full.

Plus they can generally handle a very deep ruthless powerfucking a bit more easily than some typical 108lbs androgynous twink might want.

I'm never sure what body type I have.

In general terms I feel I'm relatively athletic and muscular. However browsing RealJock for 10 minutes and you suddenly feel incredibly inadequate. I often have muscular people messaging me, and often have smaller frames messaging me.

I don't look at someone and think "he's not muscular enough" -- that's just stupid.

So as an average looking, averagely built bloke, I can safely say I can be attracted (and equally attract) people of all body shapes and sizes.

I believe that's what they mean by "more cushion for the pushin'".

    Dude, reality check time.

You are in no way average looking. Your from Manchester too so you should know your selling yourself short, compared to the average guy here you look like fucking Brad Pitt LOL.

Some are and some are not, just like all guys out there. I love it when muscular guys are attracted to me since I'm attracted to muscular guys.

    Any out there? :p

Yes, I think many of them are. Despite what some people post on this website about nobody wanting twinks. I think the reality is that many guys find slim guys hot. Well, at least I do. But I know I'm not alone.

This is an interesting topic for me. I haven't really spent a lot of time in the gay dating world or club scene, but I'm hoping that guys find me attractive despite the fact that I'm slim. My dad is slim my granddad was slim and I'll always be slim. I'm also very active and lead a (mostly) healthy lifestyle. I like to hike and climb mountains and I'm thankful that I'm fit enough to do those things.
I've always had a bit of a inferiority complex about my size but I'm starting overcome that. In fact, that is one of the reasons I joined this site.
My genetics notwithstanding, I'm hoping to add some mass in the next couple of years all the while understanding that even if I gained 30 pounds of muscle most people on this site would still consider me too skinny for them.
    Life goes on..

i think it really comes down to the type you are....if you are femmy or flammy, then you are pretty much of the radar, by awsome guys and you are stuck with the ugly.

JayPride42 saidWhy do so many people seem convinced gay men want a mirror image of themselves in a partner?.

Take a look around you. How often do you see couples that are a nerd and a jock, a pretty boy and a gamer, a scuffy guy and a queeny guy..etc? mostly i ever see guys that are very similar. Several times I've seen some couples that look so similar that at first glance I would say they are brothers

Actually, most gay couples I know ARE opposites. An ROTC guy and a dancer, a lawyer and a rower, a gamer and a pretty boy to name a few. ;P

While I agree that opposites attract, I find that the gym is different. People can work out to achieve different builds, and while some like bigger and some go for smaller, I can't imagine the lifestyle of someone going to the gym and someone who doesn't messing very well. For one, what they eat is very different, and how can you relate? Someone doesn't have to look like a Greek god to be with a ripped stud, but come on guys. We spend what, at least 3-4 hours a week at the gym? Do you really think you can not exercise and get with someone who does?

But that's not the situation being posed here at all. A guy being skinny doesn't mean he doesn't exercise.

And frankly, that last sentence is just silly. Couples don't have to do EVERYTHING together. One guy can spend his 3-4 hours at the gym while the other spends time painting or whatever.

People who go to the gym understand that the gym is not an activity, it is a lifestyle dude. Someone who is thin or overweight wouldn't understand that lifestyle or the choices that go with it. On dates, a conversation we have is lifting. I dated a thin guy once, his response was "oh, I just let the men do that.". Yea date over. You don't have to do everything together, but when you work out it is a huge part of your life. Try it sometimes kid.

I consider myself pretty lean and have pretty much only fooled around with muscular guys. So, in my experience, I would say yes.

Thanks for the condescending attitude! I guess because I don't see the gym and its relationship to relationships the same way you do, I must NEVER work out.

I go to the gym 3x a week, on top of my 6-7+ hours of dancing/lifting every week.

For you, a conversation you have on a date is lifting. For me, that's a boring topic of conversation, even though I do lift. Don't generalize the place the gym holds in YOUR life to everyone else's

i'm kinda stuck in no-mans-land right now- i used to be really thin and cut, and now i'm trying to gain a lil muscle mass, but am not yet "big," so the guys i'd go for (big and muscly) who tend to either want a twink to throw around, or a fellow muscle beast... aren't biting at all. i'm not sure if i should just do a ton of cardio and get back to where i was, or keep pushing for more gains...?

Keep pushing for more gains I say. Any guy your size and height should push for more gains. I wish I was as tall as you in order to put on more size, but Since I'm a shortass It'll just look odd on me.

Holy shit, I'm literally in exactly the same boat.
