    OK, the new RealJock videos are out there and I am already learning a lot of little details that I was not aware of before. Thanks guys. The pictures they had before this were good but there is something about seeing and hearing the explanation of an exercise that is much better. This is only one example and in this video I learned that if you want to concentrate the exercise to the quads you press more with the balls of your feet but if you want to concentrate the exercise to your glutes (your butt) and hamstrings you press more with the heals of your feet.

    This is a good exercise for me because I injured my lower back and I put up another thread earlier about this. From that thread I learned that if I “thought” about standing-up while pressing it would help me build the glutes. Sounded crazy but I was willing to give a try and after a short time it was working to tighten the muscles in my butt. Any other suggestions, fire away?

    Leg presses are fine but nothing works for the butt like lunges
    ... if you are worried about your back make sure you never over flex the leg to where your back needs to come into assistance
