yeahim40 saidI think they tried too hard to make it a scaled down 5-series, like the 5 is a scaled down 7. It used to be that they made many sizes of the same sausage (think 90's), and I think that's the goal here.
The front-end is just too squinty-eyed for my taste. It's better than the "angry birds of prey" that they've been doing for the past decade, though. Just not the best that BMW has done.

Unfortunately the only one it looks good on is the 7 . . . .they ONLY could have gone up from the previous styling on that though, that car was the biggest eye-sore for like ten years.
Global_Citizen saidI guess I'm going to be the lone voice of dissent here. I like the early 2000s styling of the 3 series. But then from about 2005 to 2010 I didn't like it. I actually really like this new style. It looks aggressive and forward thinking.
And I'm in the market for a new BMW.
benz72 saidthe picture you post is not the 2011 3series, its the 2009, notice the kidney grills and headlight
Here's the 2011
and for the 2012, big improvement on the interior, they changed the headlight to give it an edgier look, I'm sure it will grow on us. Beside those pictures are the M3, maybe the regular 3series will have a slightly different headlight/front bumper design
BlondCap saidWell considering the c 'class' is trash and looks like a cross between an accord and a camry (bad bad choices to copy), and the vw a4 passes for an overpriced jetta, and a boring one at that, I'd take a '13 M sport 335i any day of the week.
Cars just dont photo well these days. Ever poster thats seen the F30 in person says it looks great. Certainly couldnt look any worse than its german competition or bland jap competitors.
MrPolish saidits a unibrow balooga nose turd.
Headlights connected to the kidneys, they cannot be srs
They should rename the slogan to " the ultimate douchbag machine"
I am sticking to e36 and under

benz72 saidif you dont like the new 3series, skip it and get the current 5series. That piece of shit is timeless design, in 10 years still look damn good.

Totally disagree, it looks like they modeled after Jag's, which is not a good thing. . .they used the classic Jag hood-lines.

Yeah, the C-Class is a low-end Merc. . .but style-wise it is a huge imrpovement over previous generations, it looks aggressive and mean - especially the coupe.

The c coupe is an even worse offender; park it next to an accord coupe and honda will blush with flattery from imitation.
But thats no surprise, mb always copies, but no one looks past the stupid star so they get away with it.
