I really am tired of doing them on the floor.

How do you guys do your crunches?

well, the abs are a complex set of muscles- think of how many ways your torso can twist and turn and curl- so rather than doing a lot of one exercise (many people do a few hundred crunches or sit-ups and call it a day), it's best to do a variety of exercises, to hit the abs from all angles. it only needs like 15 minutes a day, combined with eating right (you can have great abs.. but not be able to see them under the fat- you need to be trim and lean to see them well). i'd suggest a few crunches, leg-lifts, lemon-squeezes, side-crunches, incline sit-ups, and pike-holds. there are a TON of others too... take a pilates class for ideas. it'll be the most intense ab workout of your life if you're not used to it ;)

    czar is right...
doing the same ab routine everyday your body is gonna say
    ...this boring routine again? (yawn)
    and nothing's gonna get done
you need to work your abs every which way
    all angles
pilates or an ab class will show you some new ways to hit them but a word of advice
don't wait twice a week .... abs can and need to be worked almost everyday
