Boys Don't Make Passes at Guys Who Wear Glasses?

    Picked up my first ever pairs of glasses today, after having put off getting my eyes tested for ages despite knowing that I'm a bit short-sighted!

    I only need to wear them for driving really, as I was having trouble reading destinations on signs at a distance (e.g. for roundabout exits) though I'm planning to wear them a lot this week at home to grow accustomed to them.

    The title of the thread is tongue in cheek really as I'm not interested in attracting a partner as I already have one, but I did wonder if guys who wear glasses have noticed whether they tend to get less attention if they go out in theirs or not?

    I think the right kind of glasses on a guy can look really hot personally! Though I'm still not sure if mine suit me (perhaps just because they're new and I need to get used to them!)

    Feel free to post pics of you in glasses or hot guys wearing glasses to make me feel better about needing them icon_smile.gif I feel a bit old!

    wearing glasses would be a rather thin, stupid, dumbassed reason to not make a pass at a guy, IMO.

    such a thin, surface orientated guy is not worth your time.

    It widens the pool a bit, but I don't know if it deepens also or stays shallow. icon_wink.gif

    Glasses don't have to be unaesthetic.

    I think my main hurdle to get over is that I do tend to have that whole glasses = nerd association, and although I admit to definitely being a massive nerd, I never wanted to look like one icon_smile.gif

    I love chunky black frames but they didn't suit me at all!

    I like the one you've mentioned 'Mad Men' in the caption, I think the word for that look would be suave! You definitely suit them!

    I had a cousin who was so vain that she never wore her glasses. Stupid as shit on a few counts. For one, she went through a lot of her life not seeing it (in more ways than one). And then, even though she was a hot chic, after her first very hot boyfriend, she only hooked up with guys who didn't take her breath away so she could feel in control. Just a few issues blurred over there.

    I didn't get contacts until my 40s. For most of my teens, 20s & 30s, my trademark was rose colored glasses. Back then and with rare exception, I pretty much got any of the hottest guys I wanted so, no, they never seemed to interfere with my getting laid.

    Here I am in my 20s in glasses. I look pretty sex-starved, huh?

    a lot of people dig glasses...you should ask the person who fits you for glasses what works the best with your face, etc.

    i have kind of a longer narrower face (although not horsey, I don't think)...so box-shaped frames work well for me. it all depends...there are certain shapes that would not do me any favors. so get a consultation and it can really make you look hotter...although you are pretty enough as you are. icon_wink.gif

    WTF does not like glasses?.... That; in my book, is a PLUS( why Don't ask me I can't honestly tell you why but on some ,glasses make em even hotter)... this coming from a guy with 20/15 vision uncorrected.

    I've been wearing glasses for half my life. I recently started wearing contacts for social occasions. I think I look better w/o my glasses. As I don't get hit on too often, I haven't noticed a difference w/ or w/o glasses.

    Wearing glasses (rather than contacts) to go out is pretty new to me, but it has posed no problems so far, and I certainly don't mind glasses on others . . . besides looking good (if he's picked the right pair), you get to undress him a little bit before making out. But I've had to wear them since 4th grade, so I guess I got my dorkies out pretty early.

    Glasses seem to be very "hipster" in San Francisco right now. The Nerd look has been back in fashion for a while.

    I definitely dig the thought of fucking a Nerd while he's wearing his glasses.

    I'm in the minority here in that glasses are kind of a turn off for me. I don't care if I get any lip about it. If it's ok for people to exclude an entire race due to "preference", its ok for me to "prefer" that a guy wear contacts. I wear glasses/contacts so I guess that makes me "self loathing" too lol. I would never refuse to talk to someone because they wore glasses or anything like that, but, I "prefer" guys who wear contacts or don't wear glasses.

    Glasses on an already physically hot guy, add to the hotness. Especially because of the nerd aesthetic. I wish I could wear them.
