Recent College Grads New To NYC???

  I was just wondering if there are any new college grads here in NYC. It's always hard to meet people when you first move to a new city, especially New York.
  
  Also, if anyone has cool places to meet people here, that would be awesome. Definitely trying hard here to make some friends. Feel free to give some suggestions!

  Therapy is a cool bar on the Westside, (W. 52nd Street, between 8/9 Aves.). The Chelsea Piers are a fun outdoor park along the Hudson that's fun to hang out with. Probably the closest thing to a beach on Manhattan.

  NYC in general it can be hard to meet people because we are all ridiculously busy with our own lives and such.
  
  At 21 I assume you are pretty fluent with the bar scene but if you want to actually talk to people and hang out then I recommend going to GYM Bar in Chelsea (around 23rd and 7th I believe) - they have a great happy hour and generally cool crowd.
  
  Don't know if you have chosen a gym yet but if you have the ducketts for it check out David Barton - also in Chelsea (for someone who is moving to Long Island City - I sure am repping Chelsea lol). I just started going and the vibe there is fantastic for a gym and the people are generally very friendly (it's mostly - if not almost totally gay after 5pm most nights) and definately good for talking. They also have a good DJ MOST nights spinning tunes.
  
  3rd option is to NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK. I am not sure of the industry you are in but this is NYC and the gays are everywhere (closeted and not) so that is your third option. I know that the Gay and Lesbian center runs events throughout the week so it may be good to check those out and also to volunteer for things, join a sports team, etc...basically you need to get yourself out there!

  Interesting. Thanks guys. I think I'm definitely going to take advantage of the things you mentioned. I'm already to some meetings at the Center, so that's a start. Thanks man!
