    The Babys Room

    The Orphanage

    Hostel

    Midnight Meat Train

    Rec

    Quarantine 2

    Dawn of the Dead 2004

    Halloween (original)

    Its Alive

    Descent

I"ll never forget that scene in "Lets Scare Jessica to Death" with her
sitting out alone in a night gown on a misty lake in a small row boat staring in at the shoreline which is surrounded by hungry vampires waiting for her to make her next move. Cheaply made but effective...I saw it at the movie theatre
when I was in high school...I'm looking for a local buddy to go to horror flicks with--noone I know likes them.

It's been a long time since a movie has just scared me from just well timed music during a quit point; but the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and the Original did the trick. Most horror movies bore me or are too predictable and cliche to have any effect whatsoever.

MK81986 saidEvent Horizon and The Shining freaked me out when I was younger (both still seem plenty creepy to me). The latter being a classic, I would definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it.

the shining is recommended as the all time favorite horror movie!!!

28 Days Later is awesome! REC is good too!

28 Weeks Later is my suggestion. It is a great sequel. It is to the original as Aliens is to Alien.

Yup i need to watch the trailer

MusicMan91 saidHmmm well I like older, low budget ones from the 50's, 60's, 70's. I recommend "Carnival of Souls" if you've never seen it. It's older from 1961 or 62 and very low budget but it has a very creepy atmoshpere. It inspired alot of future horror flicks like Night of the Living Dead and the Sixth Sense. Another good one from the early 60's is "The Innocence" with Deborah Kerr. It's based off of the story Turn of the Screw. It's a bit on the long side but creepy.

Another is called Let's Scare Jessica to Death it's from the 70's but it's pretty bizarre. These are all ghost movies/supernatural flicks. If you like slashers I recommend the original Black Christmas and Texas Chainsaw Massacre both released in 1974 just a month a part from each other.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1974, not the remake)...BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

If you really want a creepy movie, watch "The Last Broadcast". It is based on the Pine Barrens, NJ "Jersey Devil". Youtube it or Google it!

^^^^ THIS ^^^^ A true classic, not to mention the only horror movie of its kind nominated for multiple Academy Awards (10 nominations) including "Best Picture".

Also considered one of the best films ever made.

I wonder no one's mentioned about "the Nightmare on elm street" new version yet

but honestly texas chain was great but not it lacked the potential at the end it was more of a funny Sh*t
if it wouldnt have been i would have rated it 5 outta 5
bt it remains 3.5 /5 for me
