The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. Not really a horror movie but it sends chills down my spine.

I wouldn't classify this as horror, more suspense, but I recently rewatched The Haunting with Julie Harris, Russ Tamblyn and Claire Bloom.

I loved Trick R Treat. I love how the stories interweave and come together in the end.

I personally find that the scarier an atmosphere is- the better your scare. That being said "The Strangers" is a great scare if you're in the dark

How about 'Dead of Night', and 'Night of the Demon'? Both are fifties British horror movies, and seriously underrated.
It`s not strictly horror, but it frightened me, 'The Last Wave', a seventies Australian film that isn`t what it seems at first.

i don't really think Jennifer Lopez has been in a horror movie

^^^^ THIS ^^^^ A true classic, not to mention the only horror movie of its kind nominated for multiple Academy Awards (10 nominations) including "Best Picture".

True it is amazing but don't forget that Silent of the Lambs of course won best picture, actress, actor, director and best adapted screenplay. What can I say I am a movie nut?

I have to agree with a few others and say "Alien". Ridley Scott is brilliant, I can't wait to see "Prometheus"!

    The answer is:

    suspiria+girl.jpg

    Suspiria

Unlike anything you've ever seen before. Absolutely naked, shivery, hide-in-the-corner-and-beg-your-Mommy-to-make-the-fear-go-away Technicolor terror come to life.

Do you know anything about witches?...

holy shit, i was about to say this. i swear.

normally doesnt get much recognition. Wes Craven did a fantastic job. I enjoyed his The Hills Have Eyes as well as the remake.

    Nothing tops

Nightmare on Elm Street (original) though...

My favorite toy company sculpting a life-like statue of this man that haunted me in my dreams for a decade (my aunt owned a video store when I was a kid, and I regret watching these films at such an early age).
