VeinyArms saidHere's my rule of thumb. Over 6' a shaved head can be scary. Under 6', it can be damn sexy. Looking at your profile...buzz it!!

not always scary. my looks dont help when it comes to a counter-arguement but it just depends on the person.

Everyone should do it once in their lifetime to see how it looks.

I did it once...never again for me. Apparently the back of my head is flat. It didn't look bad, but I definitely don't have the head shape to look good with one.

See how it looks - it will grow back if you don't like it.

For whatever it's worth - either way, I wouldn't kick you out of bed for eating cookies. icon_lol.gif Go with whichever is most comfortable for you. Bright side? Even if you don't like it, it will grow back icon_smile.gif

I went for it, don't regret it, didn't really have a choice either since Mr. Genetics is kicking my ass!

You would be hot with or without a buzz. Your hair looks very thick and sexy in the medium lengths in your pics, l love a guy with a thick head of hair. But change is the essence of life, so do something different.

Only do it if you want more men to fall in love with you. Otherwise, I don't recommend.

Andrew86 saidI know buzz cuts are a very tricky thing that can either make a guy look really sexy or quite goofy.

I think that is "stylist wisdom", and hairstylists are insular and biased, relying on a purely unscientific, subjective appeal based on what head shapes are considered attractive. I have never actually seen any guy that looks bad in a buzz cut.

Do it but don't use the same number all the way around. Do maybe a 3 for the top, & a 2 for sides and back. That's how Sam Worthington had it.

Clash of the Titans is outdated. If your trying to look current, I would say no. Right now the slick/wet look is very current same with wearing it more to the side or back. Also having texture in the fringe is seen on a lot of guys as well. Just a thought.

Webster666 saidTo me, a buzzed hair cut looks like a prisoner in a concentration camp.

    THIS ^ ...or worse.

Unsexy. Unflattering. And get a grip! Our testosterone is going to do in a lot of men's hair soon enough as it is, so a buzz cut will not be an option, it'll be the natural reality. If you're keen on the look, save it for when you're losing your hair anyway.

Jeez! Can't any of you guys sing along to the words of the title track of "Hair" ?!! grin!

go for it. you can't really know the shape of your head until you do it. it'll grow back if you don't like it.

also, you have a long face, and a buzz cut might emphasize it. (Sam Worthington in Clash/Wrath of the Titans has a round face). if your face seems longer because of the buzz cut, you might want to grow out some stubble on your beard to balance it out - change your look completely!

When I do a simple buzz my head looks like a light bulb, totally nerdy. And accentuates my receding hairline. Head shape is a big factor when your hair is cut really short. Works for some guys, not for others. Only experimentation will tell you, but at least hair grows back, and you can wear a baseball cap a lot if it looks awful.

When I did buzz it was just the sides, the top a short brush cut that was flatter across, to de-emphasize my head's roundness. Similar to a classic flat "crew cut" (aka "butch cut" especially with a slight taper down at the forehead) from the 1950s but not quite as long on top or as flat.

There's an accessory toothed comb called a flattopper, about 9 inches square with a handle, the teeth sometimes wedged for a tapered thickness, that the barber holds against the top of your head (I had one myself since I cut my own hair). Your hair pokes up between the comb's teeth, the protruding hair cut with an electric trimmer. The comb's thickness makes the hair trimmed to the right length, and totally flat across your head. I don't know if that extreme look would be good for you, or you can find a barber that cuts like that.

As Always, it depends on the individual guy.

You appear to have a thick head of hair; how long would it take to grow out if you buzzed it and didn't like it icon_question.gif

    go for it icon_exclaim.gif

Buzzed mine about a month ago. Love it, especially in this hot weather. Easy to take care of - nothing to do other than wash it. Now, it's getting a bit shaggy, so I have to decide to buzz again or let it grow out.

I just started doing it sort of. I am wearing my hair shorter than ever. I am also trying to grow a goatee which I think might work with it. But so far, im not sold on facial hair on me

I'm siding with the do it because it'll grow back if you don't like it so there's only a small risk (i.e., you have a haircut you don't like for a little while).

aaaaaaaand, you should do it and post pics. we all want to see how it turns out.
