My worm must be getting hungrier! If I ate that when I was 25 (and 55lbs skinnier) I would get fat.

Quarks have no mass. You need to be eating Higgs.

40-50g of protein in one meal is a lot for anyone. I'd say you are best off aiming for 30g however eating it 6 times a day. It's more spread out that way and you won't having the feeling of being completely full after a meal.

At the main meals focus on lean meat/chicken/fish/eggs and in between you could mix it up.
    - 2 tins of tuna with cracker biscuits
    - protein shake with milk or smoothie protein shake
    - cottage cheese with nuts
    - high protein bar
    - 4 eggs in a s/w
    - yoghurt and oats with added protein powder

The key is to spread it out.

    Hope that helps

I, um, don't have this problem. I eat about 240 grams of protein a day without much effort. No shakes, no supplements. Just a lot of fish, turkey and eggs.

Recently I've tried taking my carbs down a notch, but it's easy to up them with fruit (one banana - 110 calories). Or just slices of bread as a snack. Is it possible to get full on fruit? When I want to gain weight I have more coconut ice cream than can possibly be a good idea (cough - 850 calories per pint). Is it possible to eat too much ice cream?

And the other weight-gaining secret weapon I have is rice milk. In one 64 ounce container there are 960 calories. icon_eek.gif I like to add a bit of cardamom to it sometimes. But that will give you plenty of calories, and it will never fill you in a million years.

Thank God I have a fast metabolism. I should be as svelte as Paul Prudhomme by now.

    i'm experiencing the same problem.

apparently, i need to consume close to 3000 calories a day to build muscle. currently, i consume on average 1200 calories a day, and i feel perfectly satiated. i honestly just don't think i can consume that many calories a day without feeling heavy and weighed down.

what is that "quark" product - an appetite increaser?

Drink your calories. Put oats, protein powder, peanut butter, fruit, milk, whatever the hell else in a blender and consume.

IamxxMyself saidhi, im trying to get big. i want to add another 20 pounds of muscle to my frame, but i find that i am often not hungry enough to eat all the food i need. anyone have suggestions on increasing appetite or do i just need to stuff myself?

Apparently your desire to gain is not enough of a priority then.
Decide what you really want and do it. Then do it again.

zentouch saidyou cannot eat if your not hungry...

Uh... yes you can. You put the food (or shake) in your mouth, chew/swallow. It's pretty easy actually. You might not WANT to do it, but that's not really the point.

At one point you'll throw up. Lack of hunger is much harder to solve, but it's not something your average gluton will understand.

If it were impossible to eat when you aren't hungry then the vast majority of Americans would not look the way that they do lol
