For those who have not found it, would it help to post a picture of a mantis?

I thought that was him but I'd never seen one in, um, plane view before.

Less than 4 secs... I just lucked out, though: as I was wanting for the pic to fully download, my eyes just happened to be gazing upon the blank spot where its elongated head suddenly appeared - it gave away the rest of the insect... But for the life of me, I couldn't locate that cricket... icon_lol.gificon_cry.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

The praying mantis has an interesting mating habit, in that the female will consume the back of the head of the male during copulation.

So there's something you all can take back with you to the bedroom.

Actually that practice is now thought to not be widespread, mostly observed in a laboratory environment. The incidence in the wild has not been determined.

Actually, some types of colour blindness appear to have an advantage in penetrating/spotting camouflage. The idea is that once the distracting effect of colour patterns in the camouflage are negated, it is easier to spot otherwise minor anomalies in shape, etc.

I'm partially color blind. I have a hard time spotting different hues of the main colors.

I found it in about less than a minute and thankfully didn't have to open it up and enlarge it, just from the post I managed to find it.

To be 100% sure I was gonna say it's ... but incase it ruins it for others I won't but I'm pretty sure I found it lol.
