Not the first retail rant I've heard. It's probably pretty tempting to generalize about people when you work in customer service.

7Famark saidFor how nasty the comments that you are making are, you could have handled this in a more mature and correct way.

You could have said "I'm sure that this is not representative of the entire Armenian community, but there seems to be a group of them in my area that are a bit infuriating." But no...the ENTIRE race is composed of idiots? Seriously?

Actually, your response offends me more than the OP's. You put words in his mouth he did not say. It's not the way I personally would have worded it, but he's an individual and he's entitled to express his feelings, even if they might not be politically correct. But you have not been appointed to show people the "correct" way to post things here, and you have not been elected as censor. The man is speaking from his experience and that's not something you can argue with because you don't walk in his shoes.

Well, I have to take anything you say with a grain of salt because naturally you disagree with any statement I make about anything. And I never said that I was appointed to show people the correct way to post things, I was just trying to convey that it comes across as offensive when someone makes sweeping generalizations about an entire nationality based on probably fewer than five less than great experiences. And, as an Armenian, I felt compelled to speak up - sorry of that offends you. Oh wait, no I'm not.

And you really believe "I believe the race are idiots" and "I don't hate them, but.." to be acceptable comments?

Actually going on a racist rant breaks forum rules. He could be banned. I'm so disappointed that you're turning this on 7famark. I thought he exercised restraint by not being way harder on the guy.

I'd imagine if he worked down in Fairfax he'd be complaining about Jewish people, or down in Weho he'd be complaining about homosexuals.

Its an opinion. I'm breaking the rules for having an opinion!? Kinda ridicules. Plus, I don't think its a "racist rant" ...as you put it. Its an opinion. Sorry if its offensive but I just wanted to understand the POV. I used some choice words yes! ...but you saying that's a racist rant is laughable.

[quote][cite]jdukay24 said[/cite] I just moved to LA and I am sorry these women aggravate. I work in the customer service industry and I want to cuss out an Armenian women everyday. With their stupid ass fake Gucci glasses and wearing too much perfume, deciding to come into the store right after we close, I already know, ok I have to deal with one more...this can't just be a smooth night. They get mad over nothing, and expect the best of everything. I really do not like this race--I don't hate them but this race of people really does get under my skin. I was @ Target and their was this A. women making a scene over a penny!?!?!?!?!? I reached in my pocket gave her a penny and told her to move the fuck out of the line. Sorry just had to vent. Cheap bitches..ugh

I will say this--Armenian people are God's people and I don't hate them. The race itself has overcome a lot of adversity and hardships. I just don't understand the logic behind being unfairly mean to a stranger--that goes for all races. I apologized for my comments. Its unfair and cruel what I said. I will say this though, I need to pray about this because obviously by posting what I posted is a sign that I have a strong distaste for Armenian women..that I need to understand that these women are human and have needs and wants as everyone else. With that being said my opinion is my opinion. The way I have been treated by these women is appalling, so I have nothing to go on except face value. I would never treat someone the way I have seen them treat others. I just don't get it? I don't know where the entitlement comes from. We are all human--Why do they think its ok to yell @ someone who is being nothing but nice to them? Here's the thing, If someone criticizes my race its not going to bother me. I would try to explain it. I just really want an explanation as to why Armenian women are so rude to public attendants? What I said above was uncalled for and I apologize. I was @ the moment getting yelled @ by an Armenian women for her card getting rejected and lashed out from frustration in writing the post. Again I am sorry to whomever I offended.

It's worth noting that anyone's descendants in America tend to become different from the people of their home country within a generation. I imagine the Armenians in LA have little in common with their ancestors/relatives back in Armenia or Russia over time.
