Nick, I apologies if I offended you. Your tan does not look ridiculous at least not in the photo. Honestly I thought your tan was the real thing.

Wreick, We do get sun in Ireland from time to time and yes some of us do get skin cancer. I am one of those.

of course you didn't offend me. I only tan sometimes - I was stickin' up for the fakies out there. ;) I'll send you a pic so you can judge about the tan/tanline thing...stay tuned MPhil

If you're going to dye your skin, why not be bold? Go for something like green or blue... maybe stripes?

"I don't tan, I just swim at an outdoor pool -- and yes, I slather myself in sunscreen, SPF 50 before I leave home -- but still I'm browner than one of my Mexican friends who goes to a tanning salon and uses the fake spray."

Isn't it time you posted a photo?

"can I have an artist sculpt a statue of you so I can place it in my backyard and dance around it at night w/ flaming maracas OW?"

    Very scary.

I wish I could agree that hopping in a tanning booth does the same thing as the sun. There is some scary stuff happening in those booths. I have to take benedryl (this was years ago...I've since given up on tanning booths) or I break out in an overexposure rash. It's very painful and basically feels like the worst sunburn you've ever had...that goes away in a few hours.

Has anyone else had this problem? The sun and I get along great. I'm not the darkest, but when I'm in the sun I get some color. Tanning beds...scare the hell out of me.

And so they should. Scare the hell out of you, that is. A few years ago there was a case where someone died from one of those. They are not good for you.

i have no problem with tanning lotions andthey do not dye the skin they make the melanine in your skin over react giving you a new color and depending on what they use as and active ingereient your skin will change a certain color. tanning beds on the other hand don't tan me what so ever
