Ckfeezy saidMeh, I haven't noticed much of a difference.

That's because guys are often hitting on you.

It's easier for me to talk to guys when they are alone. It's kind of like hunting prey. It's way easier when your target is alone. Like in the animal kingdom.

Gay bars: People are generally more respectful of others' space.

Straight bars: Guys hit on girls that are taken and start fist fights.

Maybe I was having a bad day or they saw my nervousness. I got stares but no guy approached me. I was dispointed!

In gay clubs/bars, guys tend to be offensively aggressive at times. Just because we both like the same sex doesn't mean I want to be groped by a stranger without so much as a "hello"....

(but this time I'll bring my discreet earplugs so I don't lose my hearing from the "music" *noise* --no one notices I wear them anyways, and if he cares, he can go fuck himself! *dainty 1950s homely smile*

Genius! Totally finding myself some sort of no-show earplugs.

My Aunt who is an AuD audiologist sent me some called Etymotic Research musician's earplugs. Definitely recommend. I can model them on cam if interested and show you that you can't see them unless you are making an effort to lick my ear.

I know there's a guy on this website who is an audiologist so that's as much as I can point to.

Add to the earplug possibilities, the Norton/North earplugs with the little drum with a tympanic membrane in it. It takes out all the high frequency, most-damaging loud noises (gun fire, lawnmower, chain saw, loud music, etc.), yet lets one talk and hear perfectly in conversational tones.

Norton or North (name change along the years) is a big safety equipment manufacturer. Here below is an example of one of the current models, apparently. I bought might years ago and the "drum" had a silicone removable cover which included the insert flanges. The cover also came with different sized diameter insert pieces for different-sized ear canals--it makes a big difference in comfort in long period of time wearing. They are fantastic. Mine look like the picture above, which is also currently available.

    Here's the difference:

Straight bar - Guy sees hot chick, goes up and says something stupid
Gay bar - Guy sees other hot guy, opens up Grindr, sends picture of his penis followed by "sup"
