Here's another, since I love the scenery there.

And here's a cropped version so you can see "A Mountain" (aka: Sentinel Peak).

I used to go up Tumamoc Hill on random weekend mornings, after attending church and take in the beauty of the city. It's just behind "A" Mountain!

Used to live in Strasbourg, Paris, Brisbane ... Paris had the most amazing skyline with NYC (in my opinion). Blending highrise and mid level high desenty buildings.
Strasbourg is located in on of the most beautiful aera of Europ, along the wine road. The cathedral stand out from the skyline with 142 meters! and hve been the tallest building for more 200 years!.... Theskyline kinda looks likes The burj dubai like a spire in the sky....
Brisbane and gold coast are such good city to life in, and offer a very beautiful skyline, green, sunny.... I miss Australia so much!

You work in a gorgeous, landmark skyscraper. That is something to be proud of without a doubt.

You think Tucson's skyline is static, come to Buffalo our skyline hasn't changed for 35 years with the exception of a couple 10 and 11 story midrise buildings recently added. Given Buffalo's still slow economy and over glutted real estate market, there will probably be no new skyscrapers built in Buffalo anytime soon.icon_sad.gif

While not spectacularly large, it has changed quite dramatically in the past decade. Austin circa 2000:

    800px-Austin_skyline.JPG
Evidently, Austin's skyline changed dramatically when I fled that town in May 2001 after nine years living there. The tallest building known as the Austonian is too tall and too out of scale for Austin's modern but modest skyline of mostly 20 to 35 story buildings. It should have never been built.

Now there is a beautiful, awesome skyline. That is one of the many reasons why Chicago is one of my very favorite cities.

However we are missing three major international cities with awesome, growing skylines: Sydney Australia, Toronto Canada, and Sao Paulo Brazil. Where are all those realjock members from Sydney, Toronto, and Sao Paulo to post large pics of their urban skylinesicon_question.gif

You are absolutely right. Houston has a spectacular actually two spectacular modern skylines. It is a very beautiful, modern, young city with outstanding modern architecture along with beautiful parks, ethnic diversity, great shopping, and lots of hot, hunky men. Houston along with Chicago is another favorite city for me. Hopefully Houston will gain more fortune 500 headquarters and eventually knock NYC down into second place. I would also love to see Chicago gain more fortune 500 headquarters and even knock NYC down into third place where it belongs. icon_biggrin.gif
