I don't know if it's because I'm asian (this is not an anti-asian complaint thread), or what, but I have run into this problem many times, and now, in two cities (I moved last year). I have had people come up to me, or approach me online as though they know me. They're positive I'm someone they know and I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY ARE. Sometimes, they allude to making out (and I'm absolutely positive I haven't) or certain flirtatious statements. Or, that they know me from their friend who has slept with my doppelganger (because I don't know their friend either). Other times, they'll ask if I was somewhere doing something and not only was I not there, I wasn't even remotely close to that area. Usually, we resolve the issue because they tell me the name of the person they think I am, and it's clearly not me; but sometimes, they can't remember the guy's name and for some reason are convinced it's me.
I don't _think_ I'm that generic looking. I'm taller than most asians I know, and a little more built than most asians I know. I have never run into my doppelganger(s) in either city. Just curious if anyone else runs into this, or if it's just me.
