I don't see what the obsession is about. He's not that great looking IMO.

imasrxd saidBut hey, if you want to play the "let's talk in 11 years card" so be it.....but I think we'll be able to have that discussion a lot sooner since I doubt either Tebow or Manning plays that long.

Okay, I'll go out on a limb...WAYYYYYY out on a limb...and make a prediction. (Okay, granted, mostly wishful thinking, but...) Here goes...

    - Manning gets injured during the regular season. The Broncos don't make it to the playoffs. John Elway caught eating major crow by local Denver press.

    - Sanchez has some major mistakes that have the NY Jets crowd chanting "Tebow, Tebow, Tebow", which brings Tebow onto the field.

    - Some miraculous, albeit lucky, plays with Tebow at quarterback lead to some major wins for the Jets.

    - Tim Tebow leads The Jets to the playoffs

    - Haters and doubters are silenced for good

maybe I've been brainwashed with images of guys like active_athlete; perceptions of 'six pack" could be skewed.

Haha I felt like I had to respond to this but I don't know what to say but aww shucks. And in all honesty, I'd rather be a big burly guy than the athletic dude w/ abs.

That's a lot of fantasy to get you to Tebow being better than Manning. The more likely scenario is that Manning plays the full season and Tebow gets a handful of Wildcat plays. Denver has a more favorable schedule and a weaker division. Good luck.

So GQ is using at least one picture from at least 3 years ago, seriously?

I agree, I'm not really getting this craze. That pose though from UF is so stupid though, Jesus complex, gone on somewhere.

The only way the critics will be silenced is when/if he gets a Super Bowl ring, that's it. If you say otherwise, you're really stupid. Playoffs, yee haw, those folks want a Super Bowl title and that's it.

Can Tebow please quit football altogether and come out of the closet? I'm sick of hearing about him everywhere and I want my ESPN back.

So is this what devoted Christians do??--purposely provide sexual temptation to young girls and gay guys?
Begs the question WWJD??... Surely not this....

Actually look at his stance and compare it to the Jesuses found on crucifixes. It seems Tebow has a Jesus complex. All he's missing is a crown of thorns and the stigmata.
Whew.. and i thought i was the only one to immediately notice that!

I gagged when I saw the pic.

There's nothing athletic about that fat ass. And how can Tebow claim to be a Christian when he allows, and accepts payment for, photos like this?

Where I come from, it's called prostitution.

And what's with that Christ-like pose? Given his lack of appeal to New Yorkers, I can understand why he feels crucified, but this is ridiculous!

And when did you win the Heisman Trophy? Ever claim one National Championship, much less two? Are you a professional anything? Even fat professional football players are "athletic". Tebow may be many things, but FAT is not among them

I'm not posing as some crucified ball player in GQ. This isn't about me, it's about Tebow. By looking at this picture as well as the infamous (seriously, he was laughed at by New Yorkers) Bo Derek-esque pics of him running in the rain, I'm telling you that he may pick up a football and occasionally throw it in the right direction, but he's far from being accepted in this state as anything other than a hypocritical joke.
