The problem with denying something that we do not presently understand or can not conceive of is that there are examples of these kinds of discoveries within our present history. To deny something is to deny possibility. However, belief is a very strong word implying acceptance. As a retired scientist, I think it important to keep an open mind.
If you want to have your present knowledge about the physical world in doubt, than you might want to Google, Zero Point Field. It is a subject about quantum physics that is very controversial right now, however, if eventually proven, some folks say we may be a little closer to discovering God.
