Are gay people who vote for or support Mitt Romney and the Republican Party "Uncle Toms"?

" the gay Uncle Toms. They will be first to go into the closet if things go backwards."

    HottJoe,

The idea of being "IN THE CLOSET" disgusts you----as it does most of us.

*Who would want to hide his true identity to fit in with bigots?

*Who would want to conceal the relationships that make his life meaningful?

BUT NOT ALL GAY MEN SEE "THE CLOSET" THE SAME WAY.

Especially in the demographic represented here by the 'Conservaposse'(gay guys 50+),

being "in the closet" is absolutely THRILLING.

Being gay is their secret pleasure: the more SECRETIVE.......the greater the PLEASURE. Having gay sex(few have LTRs) is their way of cheating the system. The more hidden their cheating, the more clever they feel-----the greater the pleasure.

And to these guys, being gay is NOT AN IDENTITY.

IT IS A SECRET(they've grown to love)---------and they really don't want you or any well-meaning civil rights advocate trying to LIBERATE them from what they see as working just fine.

Big deal. Even a morally unscrupulous person can hold down a responsible job. There were plenty of professional people fervently supporting the Nazi Party in Germany.

Josef Goebbels was a Ph.D. President Assad was a medical doctor. Pol Pot was a teacher.

I use at least LR4 if not PS on almost all of mine. You can have CS6, all of it, for $49 / mt so why on earth not use.

    Can't do this without help

Even the progress pics of my workout partner, I'll frequently edit out the background as I'm sure there are other people in there that don't want to be in the pics.

sfbayguy saidCuriousJockAZ - How about you answer the question?:

Because the question is one that ANY answer other than the one you want to hear would be deemed unacceptable, so why even bother. The very premise of the question is coming from a "My Way Or The Highway" bully-like mentality, one that many here like myself have tried countless times to answer openly and honestly but what we get in return are utterly naive and ignorant responses like...

And "bully-like mentality"? Really? Bully? What an over used word, and incorrectly used in this case I might add.

No, I'm wondering what people's threshold is before they think someone is an Uncle Tom. Obviously your threshold is higher than mine. My threshold for believing someone is an Uncle Tom is someone who supports politicians and political parties that believe that gay people don't deserve the same rights and legal opportunities as everyone else (especially given the fact that there are clear alternative politicians and parties that believe everyone deserves the same rights and legal opportunities). Why are "marital status" (note the irony) and "religion or creed" (which are obviously 100% chosen by the individual) protected status when it comes to employment and accommodation but not "sexual orientation"?

Would you explain what your threshold is and why, or are you just going to call me a bully and avoid the issue?
This might be insulting if it were not so narrow-mindedly moronic. NEWSFLSASH: Gay Republicans exist in all walks of life -- doctors, lawyers, teachers, law enforcement officials, engineers, firemen (and those are just some of the ones I know personally) -- so the suggestion that these are all "self loathing", "greedy", "dumb", and/or "misinformed" "Uncle Tom" types makes for mean-spirited and smug "hate speech" from that allegedly "open-minded", "inclusive", and "accepting" left, but it has absolutely no real basis in the real world. Hence, that is pretty much all I have left to say on the this tired subject.
Really? You're lecturing me about the prevalence of gay Republicans in society? Thanks, but I'm well familiar with the fact that there are all kinds of people in all walks of life.

You might be a little more persuasive if you didn't label and dismiss every person who doesn't immediately fall into line. Many gay people believe as you do that gay rights are very important, and a work in progress, thanks to the older men and women among us, who I give a lot of credit. However, there are many other important issues to consider as well, and people are entitled to their opinion. Conversation about differences is one thing, but you guys get really vicious. I don't know about any of you, but I'm one man, with one vote. Although my vote is important, I have no other power. I'm not a politician or big media personality, not even a local bureaucrat. So I cannot implement policy, I cannot force anyone to do anything, and I imagine the same is true for most if not everyone on here. So why be so damned nasty? icon_question.gificon_exclaim.gificon_question.gif

Where's the love? If you expect to be treated as equals by straight people, you cannot be vicously in their face or it will continue to backfire. When I came out, most of the people I expected rejection from were aboslutely fine with it because they knew what kind of person I am. Do you really expect to make friends and influence people with that attitude? I thought gay men were supposed to be more sensitive and accepting because of past rejections, and you're acting like a typical straight cocky boy aggressive prick outside a filthy bar somewhere, after a girl refused to blow him. Calm the hell down!!!!

tru_blu_auzzie saidMarriage equality is inevitable. The next generation will get it; it's just a matter of time before it becomes reality. Therefore Gay Conservatives are not putting themselves first and demanding I want it now! As no matter what people will miss out, one way or another; but thats not stoping them from being loved and loving back. Also at 50, I've already seen massive advancement in change; I even played a roll in helping them come about. So now I am able to put my country first,

Funny, I'm not sure what generation you're talking about. You're basically saying "you can have your rights when I'm dead." Believe me, my generation would LOVE to have the baby boomer generation drop dead. Imagine the financial burden that would be lifted off of this country's shoulders.
And I really don't see how banning gay rights in the constitution is going to get marriage equality for me. You really must not have a grasp of exactly how difficult it is to get something taken out of the constitution. It takes a generation to get that kind of thing even reviewed.

Also you want to talk about this "change"? The only improvement we've seen is that society has changed from fear and hatred into "I really don't give a fuck.". This means that they are indifferent to the fate of equal rights. Okay, at least kids aren't being driven to suicide out of harassment from their peers and family right? Dead wrong. KIDS would still rather be dead than gay. Oh well what about all the positive political PR about gay rights? That comes from democratic side and only because it looks good. So sure, why don't you sit back and enjoy this country, since ya know, you wont be living in it that much longer. You get to die and leave the next generation to deal with it, when you COULD deal with it NOW. But no, your retirement is way more important...oh but since you're gay you probably won't die in a happy relationship. We can remember all the things you did to help equality come about. Remember when you said fuck gay people, I want financial stability? We will.

FIREBRAND NO LONGER EXISTS. The poor boy made a fatal error.

For months, The Conservaposse denied the existence of their secret site----and they mocked as 'delusional', any RJ member who spoke of it.

BUT THEN, the out-of-control Firebrand boasted and posted about THE SECRET SITE. Ooooooops!

    That's when he was recalled.

Saggy, GlamourShots, Geezer and the 47 versions of Southbeach have all tortured and water-boarded the Fireboy.

    With each beating, they scream:

"WHAT IS THE FIRST RULE OF THE BUNKER?"

    "NEVER SPEAK OF THE BUNKER!!!!!"

So no, sadly, Firebrand no longer exists.

THIS Madhatter is all that remains.
