I would go for the black one! its Black shade has that luxury feel in its design especially coming from an aluminium construction! White doesnt seem too pronounce with this design, if they made it pure grey-ish silver! that would give another classy look to it!

2 - Some may be upgrading now cause their contract is up
3 - Some shattered their current iPhones and need a new one
4 - Some have never had one and this will be their first one
5 - Some will just hate on whoever can buy something they cant afford. -

I like getting the latest, especially with LTE, but it's also a game for me to see how little I can pay to upgrade swapping out my 4S. Although Gazelle is not always the cheapest way to sell the old model, it is hassle free. Will also compare Best Buy in store trade in. With Gazelle, it has been better to get their offer early several days before launch. Then you would try to get the new one ASAP to stay within the 30 day offer window. In this case, several days ago I got an offer of $314 for my 64GB 4S AT&T, but early today the offers went up to $334 so I got a new one.
At 12 PDT the AT&T site went live a minute or two before the Apple site, but bogged down. I got into Apple at 12:02, had upgrade eligibility confirmed and order completed at 12:04, and received a confirmation email a couple of minutes later. -
