I ordered 1 of each. White for personal, and black for work.
    Although I still have my Droid based Sam-Gal 3......WHICH I LOVE!!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Have always had a couple a cells at once! Something about them that I just love. Remember as a little kid my father having this big clunky thing, and we always had one in the car that actually looked like an old-time house phone receiver. icon_confused.gif

Samsung is where it's at. Android rocks; there are no stupid "we don't think you need flash" decisions made by the mother company choosing how you'll use your phone; it's designed to make it difficult for even the carrier to reduce the features to suit them....and the experience I've had with my Nexus is beyond satisfactory. I love, love, love them.

You guys can of course buy whatever shit you want to....but even when you buy an Apple, you're buying Samsung (because they make the chips.)

As for "copyright infringement", I'm not convinced the dust has settled on that. Frankly, the whole industry is "borrowing" ideas from each other (Apple's claim that "it has rounded corners --we designed that!" is lame-o.) Apple has certainly stolen as many ideas from others as anyone has stolen from them....this whole situation could easily blow up in Apple's face as other sets of lawyers realize "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" and Apple is a nice, big, rich target to go after.

I just can't bring myself to support Apple....the company that I fell in love with 30 years ago (innovative, open, etc) is not the Apple of today....they've become all the things they said they hated about Microsoft. (Of course, at least Bill is giving away all his money....Jobs donated what? --some computers to schools? icon_rolleyes.gif Bill will help eradicate polio...Jobs died being the greedy little whore he always said he wasn't --good riddance to bad rubbish, imo.)

The iPhone just sold 2 million units in 24 hours. Apple stock went passed $700. The more you hate Apple the more they sell.

    What's a Samsung?

I'm buying white because I've had a black iphone 4 for the past 2+ years. I just want a change. I think they both look good. Black is probably a little less distracting for watching TV shows/movies, but the only time I ever really do that is on a plane, and I only fly a few times each year. On the downside, black doesn't look as good as the promotional shots make it seem. In the right light, nothing looks classier than black, whether it's a phone or a car or what. But in the wrong light it just looks like a dark rectangular block.

“What type of operating system does your cellphone use?” 15,818 users answered as follows:

    • 29% more likely to prefer saving money
    • 71% more likely to say they tend to follow
    • 31% more likely to be later adopters
    • More than 100% more likely to be Windows PC users

I usually don't get into phone/computer wars. I could usually care less.

But these statistics prove why I think Apple users are kind of full of themselves. They think they are so cool, hip, trendy, and affluent just because they have the latest Apple products.

    I have unlimited 4G through AT&T.

You are no longer grandfathered on the unlimited plan when you "upgrade" to 4G.

I had my Galaxy SII for several weeks before I realized this ... threatened to drop the for Verizon and they immediately gave me unlimited.

This is not being communicated by carriers to iPhone customers, so I expect many returns as soon as consumers realize they no longer have unlimited data plans.

t-mobile and nextel advertise unlimited, but it's like a 2yr contract and they have shit coverage where i live, and worse when i travel. maybe i'll threaten verizon with a mutiny and see where that gets me

Did you face the same black or white dilemma with the Camry?

I'm now leaning slightly toward the white. As someone noted, white is easier to locate than black in many situations. It also matches my iPad. But still not buying until late October or early November.

A few years ago white was the exotic breakthrough, since Apple had to devise new materials to produce it, and I think the white phones were very slightly thicker than the black. Now we just accept white as merely another choice. There's some chatter that the next iPad may be offered in several colors.

That doesn't make sense. Those statistics won't show they're full of themselves. They show they're more educated, affluent, etc. This isn't a statistical analysis of what people THINK. It is an analysis of what people ARE.

Fact is, the anti-apple people don't like the company or it's products and they're PISSED that someone would dare enjoy apple products. And since the anti-apple fanboys can only see their own arguments as to why they choose another product over an apple product, they feel the others are just sheep, incapable of independent thought. Apparently the irony is lost on them as they say others feel cool, hip, superior, etc. for buying apple when they themselves smugly call others sheep and think they're better than those who buy "crapple" products. Get over yourselves. Apple users don't this theyre better than you--stop projecting. They just enjoy their iPhones/macs/iPads/etc. There's nothing wrong with at. People happen to like a company you don't. Get over it.

I don't care what other people buy. I like my crapple products. And I'm looking forward to the iPhone 5.

It's only a bloody phone. All the time and energy spent putting down another's choice of phone or support of a brand are better spent elsewhere.

Samsung/Android proponents flaming iPhone/Apple users and labelling them "fanbois" are really just the pot calling the kettle black. Your fervour is equally feverish if not more so. Puerile really.

I have read from several sources that this is incorrect. AT&T will allow grandfathered unlimited data plans to remain unlimited on LTE as they did with the iPad, but they will throttle at 5GB.

Samsung is the real deal. I just bought a Samsung Blaze which is a mid-range Samsung and I love it. I can't even imagine how good the high end Samsungs are.

Until you find out the hard way that a 12" drop can crack the screen and the predictive auto correct is a nightmare as its way too aggressive. Fantastic screen though and great video camera so that's all I use it for. I use my Droid Razr for daily use.

I've never had a cellphone that didn't last for years and years, and I attribute that to always using a protective case. My Galaxy S2 is in an Otterbox.
