I consider myself "muscular" and I tend to go for the same... however, I have dated some skinny guys who were total sweathearts. It's all about personality for me.... a guy can be the hottest, muscle dude, but if he's an ass, then I lose interest immediately.

Are we talking Auschwitz thin or just normal thin?

For me a thin guy with a nice ass is perfectly acceptable; although, my current boyfriend is MEATY!

ALthough, if you're talking about muscle-bound gym bunnies, I would suspect they prefer their own kind. That seems to be the stereotype.

I doubt one can view 'muscular guys' as this one analogous group where all its members think the same and have the same preferences and tastes.

kevmoran saidMost gay men model themselves after what they consider to be sexy, AKA their type.

For instance, I'm a big, burly muscle bear, so I tend to like other big, burly muscle bears.

hit me up muscle daddies ~~~

I was gonna reply with something snarky but then I realized that I already did.

Totally depends on the individual. Very subjective question.

Chainers saidI'm a smaller guy and I get plenty of attention from muscular men. I find that the ones who complain have the attitude that "if I go to the gym and pick up a 5lb dumbbell I will grow to be a bodybuilder and I don't want that."

You would be amazed at then difference that 5lbs in muscle can make in the attention you get. Also, if you expect a partner to have dedication to the gym then why would you not hold yourself to the same standard?

    That logic.

And, despite disclaimer, manages to sound like an asshole anyway.

Agreed, sounds like a real jerk. And he doesn't even have the self-awareness to realize how many muscular guys who might otherwise like him will be turned off by his profile.

I see muscular guys with skinnier guys all the time.

All the time? Really? Like every day they just bombard you with someone who obviously never steps foot in the gym and someone who is dedicated and they just always fall magically in love? Totally makes sense brah.

I mean, yea I will see a beefy guy with a leaner guy, but rarely do I see a muscular guy with someone who has no muscles at all.

Rarely as it happens, but I wouldnt count on it.

The sarcasm is unnecessary, really, but as matter of fact, yes, there are many lean/skinny guys who work swim, or run, or hike, etc., who date bigger guys, and there are many guys in horrible shape in gyms.

    lol, lean is not skinny.

Lean implies lean muscles, skinny implies "I dont eat a whole lot of calories or workout." Huge huge differences.

Of course guys find lean swimmer builds sexy, in fact a lot of people find that sexy over being big and muscular. But it isnt the lean swimmer's build who are complaining here, it is the "I refuse to pick up a dumbbell because I will become this huge bodybuilder so I will just not eat so my skin is grafted onto my bones" type guys here.

I think the word skinny is different for some folks. I consider myself skinny or slim and I go to the gym and lift heavy and I eat a lot - I'm just never going to big - my metabolism is so fast that I wouldn't even call myself lean. I look at my dad and grandfather who are skinny as well their whole life and I guess I'm doomed to be a skinny guy - but us skinny guys do like to be active or go to the gym.
