bachian saidIt's understood that skinny guys must bulk up if they want buff guys. Or they can win the lottery. The big question is what are they supposed to do in what might be a very long meanwhile.

We are supposed to wait. I'm a slim guy ( 125lbs) but i have a preference for guys bigger and more muscular than me. I plan on bulking up maybe 20-25 lbs ( making me 140-145 lbs ) and then Id have the body i desire, but even then id still be considered petite by muscular standards, but the thing is i WANT to be the smaller person, i enjoy that dynamic, i dont want to be the same size as my man.

(My pictures need to be updated) -- right now my weight is 200lbs, 8% body fat, a total of 60lbs of lean mass gains since I started when I was 24. Many (most?) guys would look much more muscular by now. But because of my height, I still have a long, long road ahead. Everyone I find attractive says I need at least 20lbs more. Only the thin, the obese and the ones who are generations older disagree. I've been working out for almost 6 years, how much longer should I wait?

Honestly you shouldnt have to wait at all, Its one thing to be overly skinny/emaciated looking, but i see too many gay guys with reasonably attractive bodies being underrated. Its like if you're not a body builder you have to work 1000 times harder to get noticed. there is such a thing as having a nice body without being " huge " , i think alot of gays are loosing site of that.

    woodsmen saidI like attractive men.

    This.

Nobody gets to dictate what is attractive to you.

This whole "Be what you want to date" idea is idiotic. Some people want clones, others don't.

Sure, I'd like to be more muscular. But I've been in my bulking phase for 47 years and work out every day, and it ain't gettin' any bigger. icon_rolleyes.gif Fortunately, guys who don't look anything like me are attracted to me on a regular basis. icon_biggrin.gif

Exactly !!! I cant believe how many profiles i've seen describe physical and visual features of themselves and then say ("for same ". Its weird to me.... I wouldnt want to be with someone whos a carbon copy of me and has no individuality, not because i think less of myself, but because if the look/act/sound just like me then why not just be. Of course its good to have some things in common in a relationship. But its like gay guys are taking it way too far.

Every body wants a hot ass man - you do - the muscular guys do - Nikki Minaj does. I guess the defining factors are entirely case sensitive in predicting likely hoods.

Almost every gay guy that I know, muscular or not, would not care too much about the amount of muscle as long as the guy is fit. Most "muscular" guys I think, are more into mass for themselves...I am also a skinny/small guy, but I would easily find someone attractive who had less muscle or way more muscle than me. I have very broad taste in men though. icon_twisted.gif

A guy has to be fit for me to have interest in him, period. With that being said, I'm more interested in his strength rather than his muscularity, because the two do not always go hand in hand. Ever seen a guy on synthol? Or a guy with calf implants? My point is, a guy can look muscular but not have the strength you would think.. and alternatively, a guy can have a 'runner's build' (whatever that means) but bench twice his body weight. And sexually speaking, who do I want more.. the guy who can do crazy sexual positions because he has the endurance and strength, or the guy who has muscles that are nice to look at but don't do as much?

Agreed. As long as he's not slack and has a hard body he'll get me hot.

Personally, I go for ALL types of guys who take care of themselves: Skinny, lean, ripped, muscular, beefy.

As long as it looks fit and healthy, I can appreciate it.

Everyone is different and has their own taste, but most people have a set standard deviation of whom their interest must look like based on his own fitness level. It's all a bit mathematical, you may not be at the fitness level of someone you like, but if you have a nice face maybe it will work. Especially since your body is morph-able for most.

A lot of what attracts most people whether they believe so or not, is the intrapsychic qualities of someone. I think it would be cool if there were a pie chart or something that segmented all of the various requirements in individual needs to be in a relationship with someone. Mind, Body, Soul, Status, Age etc. Just for reference at least.
