Difficult to say. US Republicans have been working for years to tilt the electoral playing field in their favor. Blatant partisan redistricting is just one example that dilutes the votes of many Americans. Or they practice outright voter disenfranchisement, on a scale not seen since the Jim Crow laws of the post-Reconstruction South, and against the same minority groups.
Republicans also created the false threat of voter fraud, to enact voting restriction laws that constitute real voter fraud, when qualified Americans are barred from exercising their Constitutional voting rights. Their logic & approach is very similar to their false claims that gays threaten straight marriage, and so have enacted laws to prevent gay marriage and deny gays other basic civil rights. With the Republicans someone is always threatening them, whether it's Communists, or gays, or minorities, or women, or non-Christians.
Or like some Republicans on RJ, who feel threatened by a non-US commenter such as yourself. Except when the thread post agrees with their positions, then it's OK for a non-resident to say something about US politics. And should anyone else here object to uninformed comments from members outside the US, the Republicans rush to defend the non-US poster if he's presenting their Party line, or simply turn a blind eye.
Such is the very malleable and illogical logic of Republicans almost everywhere in this country. And just think, as an RJ member you get to witness it up close & personal, and even interact with them, much like in a petting zoo. But be careful - these exhibits bite!
